Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).


This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.


Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

"I don't think he's interested."

"Come on, you don't know that. Don't give up on me now Daichi."

"We're not exactly subtle Suga, he must know why we try to talk to him so much."

Suga's shoots Daichi his classic pout. There's an unfortunate line of truth there, but he still debates whether or not he chooses to believe that. "Maybe he's really dense about these kind of things, like you."

"Oi." Daichi leans in closer, giving Suga a soft nudge. "I'm not the one who didn't realize you liked this place so much to stare at his arms."

"That's--!" Suga nearly shouts but cuts himself off when the man behind the counter turns around and gives them a soft smile.

There was a reason the two of them were at this new ramen place near their apartment three, sometimes four times a week, and it wasn't the food. They danced around it for a while, but at this point both of them were very clear on the reason: His name was Azumane, who was hotter than Suga's bowl of spicy ramen at over six feet tall with a stubbly beard, long brown hair always pulled back into a bun save the errant hair that got stuck to his temple and cheek with sweat, and a gentle demeanor despite his more imposing figure, and when his arms flexed when he pulled noodles? Just, damn.

"Here's your gyoza." his voice a low, luxurious tone that didn't match the bright interior of a small ramen shop. "Let me know if you need anything else."

"Like you?" Suga replies without thinking, his brain catching up a half a second too late to realize what he just said. Daichi and Azumane both stared at him wide eyed for it.

"Um, I guess? You definitely should let me know if you need me to get anything for you."

Suga got over his moment of mortification quickly, blinking up at Azumane, then to Daichi, and then back at Azumane.

If he didn't take this chance, then when would he?

"No, that's not what I mean." Suga looks at Daichi one more time, who gives him a nod. Okay, okay. "I mean, what if we want you?"

Azumane's eyes went wide again, and Suga could see a pink starting to bloom high on his cheeks. "Uh." was his only response.

"We could just meet up too, for coffee, or beer, or whatever." Daichi added, trying to soften the offer with a big smile. "If you want."

The pink now was a full scarlet across his face, "I, uh, um, well, that's really, really nice of you two to offer though I'm, uh..."

His voice trailed off just as the front door opened, making Azumane jump. "I have to get back to work, um, sorry!"

Azumane turned to greet the customers, make sure they were seated and all the appropriate things a good employee should do even though Suga and Daichi were full on groaning in their seats.

"I blew it." Suga stared down at his bowl so he wouldn't have to look at Daichi. "I'm so sorry, I totally blew it."

"It's not your fault." Daichi leaned against him fully, shoulder to shoulder. "If he didn't, you know, it was gonna happen anyway."

"Um--!"

The sound of Azumane's voice made them sit up, staring at him now in front of them holding a small piece of paper, which he shoved at the two of them before hustling back to work.

They blinked, then they opened it.
