Bonus Round 0: Graphics

Hello, sports fans, and welcome to SASO 2016! For our pre-game show, we'd like to start by creating graphics for your fellow teams.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on May 26 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

• Create a set of 2-6 icons or 1-3 banners (or a combo) for any team that is not your own. Here's the Team Roster for your convenience.
• You can use: official series art (screencaps, manga pages, artbook/magazine illustrations, etc.), fanart (ONLY fanart that you have permission to use), quotes, lyrics, gifs...whatever you want.
• Upload them somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
• If/when your team receives a gift (and feel free to request icons/banners if you're in need) you should thank the gifter. You don't have to use the gifts if you don't want to.

FORMAT

Bonus round shenanigans all happen in the comments below. Format your fill like this:

FILL: TEAM [YOUR SHIP] for [GIFT SHIP], [RATING] YOUR SHIP = the name of your team GIFT SHIP = the team you're giving the gift to Remember the format: last name first name in alphabetical order by last name, and separated by a slash ( / ). Replace RATING with "G" - "E", as explained here List applicable major content tags in the first line of the comment To paste an image into your comment, use this code: <img src="LINK TO YOUR IMAGE" /> Your comment should look like this:

Remember to play nice and be kind.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate.

Fills 1-5: 10 points each
Fills 6-10: 5 points each
Fills 11+: no points, they're just for fun!

(This is not how most bonus round entries will be scored, by the way.)

RESOURCES

Pixlr - an online (no download necessary) image editing program. A great place to start if you're on an older computer or one that's low on hard drive space.

GIMP - Despite its unfortunate name, GIMP is an excellent free image editing program.

Lost and Taken - A collection of high resolution textures.

Font Squirrel, Lost Type Foundry, and League of Moveable Type - Free high quality font resources. They're all hand-picked or created by professional graphic designers.

Icon-Extras - A resource for icon tutorials and the like. Also features textures, brushes, bases etc. that are particularly good for icons (rather than the all-purpose textures at Lost and Taken).

Remember: Dreamwidth icons are 100x100, and can have a maximum filesize of 40 kb.

Banners are typically around 150-400px tall and 400-800px wide. This is pretty flexible, though.

omg the eternal struggle of finding the perfect textures/images/stock to use for a graphic... i'm glad you found one in the end though! it came out rly nice so all that time paid off for sure! this one is one of my faves of the banners you've done so far this round so i enjoy your ~*~*DESIGN AESTHETIC*~*~ bc A+

shhh, no, it's okay, i have the same problem a lot myself where i have to use manga caps too sometimes because it can be difficult finding quality shots for graphics sob... but yeee i'm glad you went with that design decision bc it came out rly nice!

THANK YOU i couldn't resist well-colored icons with puppies, so here i am... sparkles feebly... I'M GLAD YOU LIKE KHR i went nuts over it a few years back when i was first getting into it and i marathoned so many episodes at ridiculous hours of the night orz

old school makes me really nostalgic so i honestly love that faint line effect! npnp, it looks like you spent a lot of time on this banner so it's only fair that it gets its share of appreciation *v* actually at first i didn't realize you personally extracted the sunflowers and harurin until i was reading some other comments. i thought they came together like that in official art! it's such a convincing manipulation, so kudos on the nice work!
