All the emphasis she puts on the key chain, and yet Nico can't help but stare at the simple piece of metal attached to it. A single apartment key.
Maybe Nozomi is embarrassed. If she is, she sure doesn't show it. Or maybe she does in the way she dismisses the real present and focuses on the key chain, in the way her voice is slightly louder than usual -Nico, of all people, would notice-, in the way she fidgets with her hands, moving them as she talks.
Nico is quiet. And then she starts crying, pressing both her hands on her face.
It takes Nozomi a few seconds to understand just what clicked in her girlfriend's brain, what kind of reaction is that, so sudden. But then she smiles one of her smiles, and laughs as she holds Nico in her arms and kisses her hair.
"Yes you are!" and Nozomi laughs again, kisses Nico's hands, thinks about a future where they'll be calling the apartment that single key opens "theirs".
