A remix of [personal profile] prillalar’s fill here.

Fuji tilted his head just slightly, regarding Kaidou. He wanted to say quite definitively that he was not regarding Kaidou like a piece of meat, but it was hard to deny when he felt the involuntary slide of his fangs just under his lips. Still, he smiled anyway, exposing said fangs.

“Come again, Kaidou?” Fuji asked, unable to hide his amusement.

Kaidou shifted. “I, um… I’d like you to turn me.”

Fuji stepped forward, and Kaidou didn’t flinch. He looked nervous, but he stayed perfectly in place, even as Fuji began circling around him, appraising him from all sides. He was sure Kaidou assumed that he was casing him for weapons, but really he was just biding his time, savoring the request for a moment.

Fuji reached out to the nearby table, and grabbed a pen. He grazed the end of it lightly over Kaidou’s neck, making him jump slightly, but Fuji pressed onwards. He slipped the butt of the pen under the chain of Kaidou’s necklace, and kept running the pen forward until it pulled the pendant out of Kaidou’s shirt, revealing the hidden, gold cross.

“You might want to get rid of this first, if that’s the case,” Fuji said.

Kaidou gulped and nodded.

“And that’s only the tip of it, though, isn’t it?” Fuji asked. “I seem to recall something about destiny with you.” Fuji’s smile widened. “It’s a little hard to be a slayer and a vampire all at once. Oil and water, you know? Right?”

Kaidou nodded. “I know. That’s why I’m asking you to turn me.”

Fuji tilted his head.

“The oil and water thing I mean,” Kaidou said. “You could never be both at once. And… a slayer and a vampire could never…”

Fuji smiled, urging him on.

“They could never be a doubles pair, right?” Kaidou said, averting his eyes.

Fuji laughed, backing away. “To say the least.” He shook his head. “Though I have to say, Kaidou, I’m a bit confused. Why don’t you just ask Inui to turn you himself?”

“I…” Kaidou’s face flushed (and Fuji nearly went dizzy at the scent of so much blood just under his thin skin). “I wanted to surprise him.”

“For prom?” Fuji asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kaidou sighed and nodded slowly, confirming Fuji’s hunch.

Fuji laughed. “This is quite a bit for prom. Most people just buy flowers.”

“It’s not just for prom!” Kaidou said quickly. “I mean, I know what I’m getting into, if that’s what you mean. I know a lot about… vampires.”

“I’m sure you do,” Fuji said. “Well, if you’re sure…”

Kaidou nodded. “I am.”

It was all Fuji needed, and honestly the most he could stand anyway. The smell of Kaidou’s blood was intoxicating — he could easily see why Inui wanted him so badly. Fuji grabbed Kaidou, one hand clutching his waist while the other pulled at his head, tilting it so that his neck was exposed. Kaidou was tense at first, but forced himself to relax a little. But his heart was still pounding as Fuji hovered over his neck, the heady smell of rushing blood filling his nose.

Fuji inhaled sharply. “Inui may kill me for taking this privilege from him,” he thought aloud.

“What?” Kaidou asked.

Fuji leaned into Kaidou’s neck, extended fangs hovering just over Kaidou’s jugular. “I’ll do my best to not leave too much of a mark.”
