Prompt: soulmates/reincarnation au, with a dash of mythology. (this might get a little long, so i thank anyone who bears with it 'til the end...)

back in the day (waaaaay back in the day), one of the gods fell for an extraordinarily beautiful human named miyuki, and took miyuki for his own. miyuki, who had no human attachments of his own, didn't really have a problem with this... until he met chris, and fell for him. hard. hard enough to begin an affair with him behind the god's back. but gods being gods, this one naturally found out about it.

the god was moved enough by their love to offer them this mercy: that they would be born again into different lives throughout the ages, and they would always find one another.

and the god was furious enough to add this curse: that one of them would remember the other across all their lifetimes, while the other would never remember.

and the god was spiteful enough to do this: he took his beloved's beloved aside (so that would be chris), and told him that which of them is doomed to remember and which is doomed to forget would be chris' choice. make the choice right here, right now.

and -- go.

(the choice chris makes is up to any filler, of course, as is the identity of the god [an actual mythological one? someone from daiya?]. and as with all my saso prompts, please bring in anyone else from daiya you need as anyone else you need for the fill.)
