Title: Glass Shard

***

A mirror is only a glass with a metal amalgam in one of it’s sides.

Atobe repeated it loudly in his room while staring at his golden mirror, on the mirror he could only see blue locks and glasses always the same stupid glasses, the closest thing to his hand was his phone, which he trowed in the mirror’s direction and fell back on his bed.

In Yuushi’s eyes, Atobe was the epitome of honesty. He was one of those rare person’s that did exactly what he said he would do, as soon as he could. He always spoke up his opinions and he truly believed he was always doing the right thing, he did not lie to himself or to others. In Yuushi’s eyes, Atobe was naive and honest, the perfect dumb hero figure.

Yuushi cut his finger when he touched the crackle that had opened on his bathroom’s mirror, the red of his blood switched to gold and the red and gold turned on the clothes he liked to wear, his short golden hair and the smirk on his face, the smirk Yuushi liked to turn into a frown.

In Atobe’s eyes, Yuushi was the perfect liar. He was able to switch and lie to everyone around him but to never lie to himself, he smoothed his words and delayed other’s plans in a way his objectives were fulfilled faster. He was able to harbor affection to people and he would only care about those, the rest of humanity was of no consequence to him. In Atobe’s eyes Yuushi was dishonest and cunning, a charming villain.

The former mirror, now a piece of glass, fell to the floor, together with their momentary thoughts. Thoughts blinded by anger and by passion, painting those glass shards with everything they saw as a vice on the other.

Anger in both of them was always fleeting, neither was very spiteful, they got easily hurt but did not cultivate any spite.

Atobe shared his heart with everybody but he was never hurt by people he did not care for, but, by those he truly cared about, anything they said was able to hurt him. He would run away injured and angry everytime it happened.

Yuushi shared his heart with almost no one, he only showed true anger and his despair to those he cared for, and those could easily break him. He would never show them, but they could.

He left the bathroom and went for his home phone.

He got up from bed and picked up his cellphone in the middle of all the former mirror’s shards.

Both re-dialed the first number.
