Attachment for him was the same as possession. It did not matter how others had warned him to not get attached to that man, he was attached since the moment his goal switched from beating the other in Tennis to getting their lips together. He had wanted Oshitari Yuushi for himself for a long time.

He got what he wanted, like he always did, but, on this time, the other’s advice proved to be more correct than his own opinions for once. Getting attached was his mistake, a mistake he had committed since their lips touched for the first time because for him there was no such thing as just making out with someone, he only went after those he wanted. Those he wanted always mean Oshitari Yuushi.

They could call him naive, possessive, too young to understand, but he had been called worse before. So, if his most important sin would be being a romantic, he would die as one. He would never touch his lips in someone he didn’t want fully, in someone he did not want to posses completely with his body and soul.

Was he deceived by Oshitari’s charm and looks? Maybe. But a part of his mind believed Yuushi had felt the same for him, just choose to not go for it for reasons unknown to him. This may be his arrogance speaking, telling him no one would be able to resist him, just how much of a good match he was, but, maybe Yuushi had wanted him. To posses him, to grow attached to him.

Oshitari was difficult to read, it had always been like that. He could read anyone but not Oshitari. The closed heart, the way he spoke exactly the opposite of what he thought, the way his actions could change as fast and as easily as he returned a lobby; confused those blue eyes, so used to reading people and getting ahead of them.

His eyes now, useless. His charm now, wasted. His attachment, deluded and the ownership he thought he had on Oshitari’s heart? A dream.

His golden hair fell on his eyes together with a single tear, he hadn’t cried for over five years but now he could not contain anymore.

He had lost Oshitari, because of his need, his possession, his attachment, on this moment he wish he could take back all the soft words spoken, all the moments he opened up his heart and those shy kisses he shared when they were both spent. Those were what outed him, what outed his need, his possession, his attachment.

Now he would tell his heart to not try to own something that was never his from start.
