miyuki always appreciates the way they seem to understand each other without having to say very much. it's comforting, just being together like this. just lying here together. -- it does seem to me that, for all the talking he does canonically, miyuki really is the type who prefers a wordless communication. whether that involves signaling from behind the plate on the field or sharing a comfortable quiet off it. or not having to use words in intimate situations where the feelings are clear and understood.

so i really love this line and all the quiet characterization in it.
