Happy readings! =^^= *** Oikawa stared at the petite photograph, it was of Tobio, and him. In the dimly lit photograph, the two of them were surrounded by boxes. The only sign of colour that wasn’t brown was the couple themselves who seemed to pop out of the picture. Oikawa was smiling, winking, and throwing up his usual peace sign. Tobio with a dazed face looked awkwardly at the camera, both of his hands copying Oikawa’s. Oikawa smiled at the photo, it was so old. Maybe he should call Tobio? Maybe check up on his health? His memory then flashed back to the arguments, fights, and the crying that often ensued in the relationship. He swallowed the lump in his throat that had formed. “Or maybe not call,” he thought. The pretty picture of them both didn’t detail that part of their relationship. Thoughts bubbled up of Tobio, whether good, or bad. Concerns, questions, scenes of which Oikawa imagined of what Tobio was doing at the very moment. Knots formed in his stomach as he remembered the last fight he had with Tobio. He had slapped him. In the heat of a stupid argument he couldn’t even remember now. An action, something he believed so righteously was wrong. Oikawa had gone, and fucking did it. He hurt his significant other. The one who meant the most to him. They avoided each other the next couple of days, then weeks, then finally a mutual breakup that didn’t really resolve anything. It was just an easy way out. Oikawa never apologized for what he did. He bit his lip harshly. God, he was so fucking stupid. Why didn’t he apologize? Would they still had been together if he did? He cursed at himself from every angle that he could. Finally, he took a deep breath, and calmed down. He remembered all the disagreements they had together. All the anxiety. All the misunderstandings. All the drama. It was for the best that they had split in the end. They were both happier anyways as the result. Still, he was allowed to remember the good memories he had with Tobio. Waking up and watching him sleep, the cuddling contests they often had, and the constant texts to each other. He smiled as another wave of nostalgia washed over him. If there was any last thing he would’ve wanted to say to Tobio. What would it have been? An I’m sorry? Let’s try it again? How are you doing? Hey, do you still think about me? Oikawa shook his head, and placed the photograph back where he found it. No, they had broken up for the better of it, and there was no need to go back to it. He smiled, and continued his spring cleaning.
