Teshima woke up with his head on Koga’s chest, which did not make a soft pillow but was still always a good place to find himself. He ran one finger along the line of Koga’s collarbone, enjoying the little smile on his face. If anything Koga looked smug about this situation. Teshima kissed his finger and touched it to the corner of Koga’s mouth.
Careful not to disturb Koga, Teshima pushed himself upright and stretched. They had somehow twisted the covers into a knotted nest around them, but Teshima figured it was warm enough that both body heat and blankets together would have been too much anyway.
Aoyagi had draped himself over Koga’s stomach, monopolizing as much space as he could cover. His slight frown made it seem like he was still not satisfied. It was so cute Teshima had to touch a soft kiss to Aoyagi’s forehead before turning his attention to trying to get out of the knot they had made.
It was impressive how much they had managed to tangle things. Teshima felt like his foot was caught in a Chinese finger trap. Trying to pull it out only made the knot tighten.
While he was distracted, someone grabbed him around the waist. Teshima found himself dragged backwards over Koga’s thighs until he fell against Aoyagi. Aoyagi’s arms latched around his waist.
“Hey! What are you doing?” Teshima thrashed, more with surprise than anything else, and only found himself clutched harder to Aoyagi’s chest.
Koga grumbled and put one hand to his face as his eyes cracked open.
“See, you woke up Kimitaka,” Teshima accused.
There was a shared look over Teshima’s head, and then Koga gathered both of them into his arms. Teshima found himself trapped in the middle of a tangle of limbs.
Teshima might have expected being sandwiched naked between the two of them to lead somewhere immediately, but it didn’t. Koga leaned over his shoulder to kiss Aoyagi, (and kiss him again when he pressed forward greedily,) then gave Teshima a soft kiss before nuzzling sleepily against his hair.
Aoyagi spooned himself snugly against Teshima’s back and breathed against the back of his neck and it sounded like, “Stay” even if he didn’t say a word.
“I was going to make breakfast,” Teshima told them. “You’re not getting any breakfast if you don’t let me up.”
Koga said, “Hmm” and kissed his ear. Aoyagi didn’t bother saying anything.
“I know you love my cooking,” Teshima grumbled, nose pressed into Koga’s chest. He didn’t actually want to escape now.
“You know we love you more.”
It wasn’t new, hearing something like that, and yet it always seemed to surprise him. Teshima had to stop and swallow down a giddy laugh. “Yeah. Okay. You win.”
“Damn right we win,” Koga muttered. Teshima felt the shiver of a silent laugh from Aoyagi.
Happily resigned to his fate, Teshima kicked fruitlessly at the blanket still tangled around his foot, which had twisted too tight. Aoyagi apparently trusted him (or trusted Koga not to release him) enough to reach down and unravel it. The knot came apart in his hands like magic, letting Teshima fit himself more comfortably between them.
Rather than being tangled in the blankets, he would much rather be tangled up with the two he loved.
