oh. oh. i've read this a few times now and i still don't know how to phrase how poignant this feels, like!!! so much is said in so little!!! i really enjoy how kita's narration reveals as much about how closely the miyas know each other (not necessarily with any labels, only the obvious sense of closeness) as it does about how carefully he looks out for them and how, ultimately, he decides not to intervene & trust that they can see things (and each other) through.
Their silence, their noise and their harmony; the cryptic way they say each other’s names, like rain in Osamu’s mouth, butter and caramel in Atsumu’s.
these are such specific images, but oddly cohesive to read together? like osamu & atsumu themselves, or like imagining something sweet on a rainy day. thanks so much for this fill!!
