*flailing* oh no, OH NO. Imayoshi really is a dick here (but it's perfect for him) and I am cringing at the fact that Hanamiya falls for it (falls for him) but oh MAN. I love the little detail of what the invitation is like, and the implications of Imayoshi's rapid rise, and the 'Maybe if they had a hundred Hanamiyas, or a thousand, they might not be losing this war. And what horror would that be.' because yes, it's true and it's terrible.

Mostly it's the second bit that kills me, the "probably it was proof that he wasn’t nearly as much of a monster as he pretended to be". Just incoherent noises of oh god you gave yourself away, Imayoshi saw through you like you always knew he would, this is not going to be good at all. Just. FLAILING. I love how you write these two but man it hurts in this case.
