There were blank pages, before you chapters and chapters that no one remembers and then
hello.
You’re there, and I’m there and the story starts.
Once upon a time, we existed.
And time moved, like it does and we moved together like we do,
words and pages, chapters upon chapters: the shiver I felt before I grabbed your hand, your smile when I dragged you on our first adventure, the way your eyelashes fluttered when you kissed me the first time,
moments in our story.
And when it falls apart, the book crumbling, and our pages are just dust on lost bookshelves I’ll know it’s because there was no more you.
Happily ever after, the book is over, close it before it disappears.

the shiver I felt before I grabbed your hand,
your smile when I dragged you on our first adventure,
the way your eyelashes fluttered when you kissed me the first time,

in our story.
And when it falls apart,
the book crumbling, and our pages are just dust on lost bookshelves
I’ll know it’s because there was no more you.
Happily ever after,
the book is over,
close it before it disappears.
