She grew; a flower in everything but name. I watched her with wide eyes, with trembling, clumsy fingers.
And she smiled like I was the only thing for miles. And I smiled like I'd grown her with my own two hands.
Pink petals fell from her eyes to her cheeks, and it wasn't tears but even the salty ocean would weep to see how we fell together like crashing waves, like a storm of you and me.
And when your eyes, roses not irises, spread wide and watched how our hands slid together, I watched how you bloomed.

She grew; a flower
in everything but name.
I watched her
with wide eyes, with
trembling, clumsy fingers.
And she smiled like
I was the only thing for miles.
And I smiled like I'd grown her
with my own two hands.
Pink petals fell from her eyes
to her cheeks,
and it wasn't tears but
even the salty ocean would
weep to see how we fell
together like crashing waves,
like a storm of you and me.
And when your eyes,
roses not irises,
spread wide and watched
how our hands slid together,
I watched how you bloomed.
