Well, to be fair, Rin liked ice cream quite a bit, too. It was good.
But Nagisa liked it too much.
"Riiin~" he called, as they walked back from the ice cream shop. It was summer, and Makoto was out spending vacation with his family while Haru and Rei were planning on helping Rei with his freestyle. Rin had swimming practice every day this week, except for today, Sundays, when he liked to take a day off.
Apparently that day off meant spending it with Nagisa and getting ice cream.
"Don't you want to try some of my ice cream?" Nagisa pressed.
Rin shrugged and tried to pull away from him. "It's fine," he said.
Nagisa usually liked things that were too sweet. In Rin's opinion, anyway. He didn't mind so much getting ice cream with Nagisa and gossiping about their friends -- and he definitely did not mind getting ice cream with Nagisa. Nagisa was fun to be around, anyway, when he wasn't offering his ice cream to Rin.
Nagisa pouted. "But it's really good," he insisted. "I want you to try some!"
Rin felt his cheeks grow warm. "It's really fine, Nagisa," he said, taking a spoonful of his own ice cream.
He ate it and chewed. They continued on -- Nagisa was barefoot -- but before Rin could get another spoonful, Nagisa was shouting, "Open wide!"
And then he had shoved his own spoon of ice cream into Rin's mouth.
Rin squawked, and choked at the same time, trying to swallow it down. "Nagisa!" he shouted.
Nagisa just smiled up at him. "Well? Isn't it good?"
And it was good -- wasn't as sweet as Rin had expected, and Nagisa's mouth had touched that spoon, and now it had been inside Rin's mouth, tangy and not too tasty and on the right side of savory. Rin unconsciously licked his lips, trying not to blush.
"It was okay," he said, trying not to think too much of it.
