Bonus Round 2: Images
Please read the rules carefully before posting!
This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on June 23 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from the anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, photos from stage plays, and/or caps from games.
- Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt official, canon artwork.
- Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Abe & Tajima). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Abe/Tajima). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them. Including a text-only summary of the image is encouraged.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
- Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
- Fills that are too long to fit in a single comment should have the rest of the fill placed as replies to the original fill comment. The subjects of these extra comments should be something like "part 2 of X" or "continued."
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

also i had to do this immediately because I was so hit by FEELINGS for these jerks

If only, huh? The phrase resonates with him and the sharp edge of longing cuts deeply. How many times had those words crossed his mind since he’d started playing? Clinging to him like an annoying second skin? That thought that was filled with so much bitter longing?
There’s certainly truth to it. Yeah, if only he’d had a body like Agon’s then he could have done a lot of things. One of the most annoying things about the bastard (and there was a long list or those mind you) was the seemingly endless growth that his body and annoyingly useful God Speed Reaction offered him. Hiruma might have killed for his ridiculous stamina alone. Hell, even with a body like the shrimp’s then Hiruma could have…
But the thought only goes that far before it stops, because he doesn’t have the fucking dread’s physique, or ridiculous stamina, or even Sena’s shrimpy body. He’s known since a long time ago that he didn’t have a lot of things.
What he does have is a body that’s weathered hundreds and hundreds of hours for this sport; a body that’s been dragged through practice after practice and game after game and even across the hellish landscape of the United States on a death march. The calluses on his fingers alone, just from throwing the ball, run deep and each speak volumes about the hours spent honing his technique and accuracy and the hundred other little things that ensure that the ball will land in the fucking monkey’s hands each time.
What he has are strategies and trick plays and the guts to go for the crazy or unexpected play; even the ones that have much, much higher chances of failing than succeeding. It’s one thing that guys like Agon don’t have. He might have been able to literally run laps around Hiruma, but when it came to planning and scheming, Hiruma might as well have been number one in that category.
So yeah, he’s not the fastest or strongest guy on the field at the moment, but that doesn’t matter at all. In this crazy, chaotic sport he didn’t have to be. On this battlefield he had the shrimp if he needed speed and crazy bastards like Gaou or the fatass if he needed power, and ever crazier bastards like Shin if he needed both. In this sport he didn’t need a body like Agon’s.
He just needed to play smart with that he did have. American football was a sport where ordinary men could challenge those gods at the top if they had the strength and willpower to keep on fighting, and you could bet your ass that he had both.
After all, no one could change the cards that they were dealt, but they could always choose how they played them.
