Bonus Round 2: Images

Please read the rules carefully before posting!
This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on June 23 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from the anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, photos from stage plays, and/or caps from games.
- Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt official, canon artwork.
- Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Abe & Tajima). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Abe/Tajima). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them. Including a text-only summary of the image is encouraged.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
- Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
- Fills that are too long to fit in a single comment should have the rest of the fill placed as replies to the original fill comment. The subjects of these extra comments should be something like "part 2 of X" or "continued."
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

the brightest star in the north sky
When Sanada comes to see him at the hospital, Seiichi wants to tell him to check himself in instead. He has stress lines around the corners of his eyes, his mouth turned down even more than usual. We will win, Sanada says, like one of those mantras he recites to himself at night, and he probably does, the dork. Seiichi speaks with the utmost affection for his vice captain, but facts are facts, and Sanada is absolutely a dork. A beautiful, well-intentioned tennis dork who actually tries hard enough to satisfy Seiichi.
“Come read to me.” He pats the book by his bed and watches Sanada fumble with the pages. He’s dark from long practices, the veins running thick under his skin, and Seiichi feels a stab of envy when he spots the slide of muscle. At least one person’s nerves are still working properly.
Sanada’s voice rumbles out across the room, listing prognostic notes and physiological details on neurons and muscles, sparks of electricity that fizzle far too easily. Seiichi drinks in the words, committing them to memory like he does game plans.
Nationals. The word is a fever dream, a certainty too far to grasp, and Sanada shoulders it with gravity. Seiichi’s arms grow thin and weak; his legs fail him, and the stars wake in a poor imitation of sweeping sunlight.
“Stop,” he says, halfway through a dissertation on sensory pathways. “How was practice?”
The furrows between Sanada’s eyes, which have smoothed out over the course of his reading, return with a vengeance. “Renji will update you with the details.” Seiichi nods, understanding, and Sanada continues, “Kirihara has not yet managed to gain control over his Devil Mode.”
Seiichi imagines his team as Sanada paints constellations with his words - Niou and Yagyuu wreaking havoc on the court, Bunta’s wavering drops. It will not affect our campaign, Sanada says after each critique, as if it’s a question.
“I’ve caused you a lot of trouble,” Seiichi murmurs, looking down at his traitorous hands.
Sanada seizes them. “Never,” he says, serious. Always serious. “We will win,” he repeats, and this time Seiichi sees the promise in them.
“Put Niou with Jackal this week,” he orders, setting off into a detailed breakdown of the team practice schedule. They’ll discuss it further with Renji when he comes later, connect the isolated suggestions Seiichi makes. For now, Sanada hangs onto his every word, like Seiichi’s voice is a siren’s song, and Seiichi counts the days to his operation, to the prefectural finals, to Rikkai’s inevitable victory.
“We will win,” he echoes, and the words hang there between them like hope.
Re: FILL: Team Tennis no Ouji-sama, G
Oh, my precious Emperors of Rikkai. I love all the little things Yukimura notices, and how Sanada is so strong, and yet clearly just hanging on because of the stress... Thank you for this lovely fill!
