Bonus Round 2: Images

Bonus Round 2: Images

Back by popular demand, this round uses official canon artwork as fodder for speculation and extrapolation.
Please read the rules carefully before posting!

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on June 23 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from the anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, photos from stage plays, and/or caps from games.
    • Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt official, canon artwork.
    • Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Abe & Tajima). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Abe/Tajima). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
    • Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them. Including a text-only summary of the image is encouraged.
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
    • Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
    • Fills that are too long to fit in a single comment should have the rest of the fill placed as replies to the original fill comment. The subjects of these extra comments should be something like "part 2 of X" or "continued."
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only.

Kenma hated the rain.

It was wet and during summers like this, it made everything sticky. Kenma stared down at his rain-soaked sneakers as he held his umbrella over himself, watching as raindrops dappled the flooding ground everywhere but this tiny half meter radius around him. The rain drummed rhythmically on top of the umbrella, rolling off of the edge of the clear plastic in a tiny waterfall.

“Kenma!”

Kenma peered through his umbrella at the railing in front of the clubroom to see Kuroo leaning over the side. His hair flat for once, wet from sticking his head out in the rain to look at Kenma. He wore a huge smile on his face like he couldn’t be happier to see Kenma—it was the same look he wore whenever he seemed to see Kenma. It made Kenma feel nervous and his heart beat a little faster than he would have liked.

“I’ll be down in just a second!” Kuroo called, raising his voice over the roar of the rain.

“Okay,” Kenma said, his voice quiet, but Kuroo’s grin grew ever wider anyway. He disappeared from the edge of the railing and, in the next moment, he was running down the stairs with his bag hiked over his shoulder.

Kenma lifted the umbrella for Kuroo to duck underneath it. Even with Kenma’s arm raised pretty high, Kuroo was still bent over slightly because, well, he was just so tall, infuriatingly so sometimes. Not that Kenma ever said that out loud, but Kuroo still chuckled every time he saw Kenma’s lips pull into a frown at a situation like this.

“I’ll take this,” Kuroo said, plucking the handle from Kenma’s hand so he could hold the umbrella over them, standing so close that Kenma could practically feel the heat radiating from his body. Kuroo probably didn’t mean to, but he tended to tower over Kenma. Partially because of his height and partially because he had a tendency to be a little protective. Kenma didn’t really know what to think of it or do about it, in all honesty, but it did make him feel a little safer. Kuroo normally did that.
The tilt of Kuroo’s wrist is subtle, but Kenma noticed that the canopy of the umbrella seems to be tilted slightly towards him. He wondered if Kuroo was worried about his bag getting wet.

“You didn’t have to wait for me,” Kuroo said. “You don’t like the rain, right? You should have just gone home.”

He said it like he wasn’t absolutely ecstatic to see Kenma waiting at the bottom of the staircase for him. Kenma never really understood why Kuroo would say something like this—he wondered if it would be out of line to tell Kuroo that it was okay to want to be spoiled every once in a while.

Kenma tilted his head. “It’s fine,” he said instead. Kenma raised his hand to tilt the umbrella back up to cover the both of them, his fingers grazing Kuroo’s for a brief moment. Kenma didn’t react to the spark that he seemed to feel every time they touched or the chill that ran down his spine. Instead he looked up at Kuroo, whose eyes are a little bit wider and his cheeks dusted a light pink just from the brush of Kenma’s fingertips. It’s a good look on him.

“I like walking home with you, anyway,” Kenma continued, lowering his hand. “It keeps things interesting.”

Kuroo seemed to light up at that simple explanation. His smile growing wider and his cheeks becoming redder. Kuroo always looked at Kenma like he held the entire galaxy in his eyes and clung to his every word like Kenma was telling him the secrets of the universe. It was kind of odd, when Kenma first noticed it—a little overwhelming and a lot embarrassing. He didn’t really think he had any sort of power.

But he supposed, now that he was looking at Kuroo, his face and presence so bright in this gloomy, wet weather, Kenma supposed a comparison to stars could be plausible.

“Can we go?” Kenma finally spoke up, trying to cover up the way being so close to Kuroo made his throat feel dry. He reached up to take Kuroo’s hand, looking away as he felt blush bloom on his cheeks. “My shoes are getting really wet,” he mumbled.

Kuroo chuckled and Kenma peeked up through his bangs for a brief moment to see Kuroo’s smile soften in a way that made him look undeniably gorgeous. Kenma’s heart skipped a beat when Kuroo’s fingers slide under his palm and Kuroo rubbed his thumb gently over the back of Kenma’s hand.

“Of course.”
