Bonus Round 3: Gift Tags

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 7 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Submit prompts as a gift tag in the format below. You can specify the size and a characteristic of the gift, who the sender is, who the recipient is, and a one or two sentence note from the sender to the recipient. Descriptions of the package and the included note don’t have to be explicit, see below.
- Package: medium sized cube, rattles
From: Kageyama Tobio
To: Hinata Shouyou
Note: These will help you get better. - Envelope: manila, 12''x17'', very thick and heavy
From: Tezuka Kunimitsu
To: Kinjou Shingo
Note: Enclosed - Play without regrets! - Your prompt MUST include a relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. Fillers can get creative with how to interpret the prompt: your fill can be about the character receiving the gift, one or both characters using the gift, what prompted the sender to send the gift—the physical gift itself can even be excluded from your fill. What’s important is that the gift tag is clearly the inspiration for your fill.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

FILL: Team Kyoutani Kentarou/Yahaba Shigeru, G
word count: 595
The world always seems a little dreamlike, between the hours of three and four. Tooru is always awake to meet it, when the edges of reality blur a little and he knows that it's probably just his exhaustion speaking, that it's his foggy mind creating the atmosphere. He likes it anyway.
At times like these, anything in the world feels possible. His limbs are too heavy to start anything immediately, but his chest is full with the potential all the same. He can shut his eyes and picture himself achieving whatever it is that he wants at the time. Standing on the world's stage, playing for Japan at the Olympics; floating in space and uncovering new things; shut in a laboratory and studying organic material gathered from other planets; Tooru dreams big and yet they aren't really dreams at all. They feel like alternate futures, spread out before him in the early hours of the morning, and he looks at them all, feels like he can grasp whichever one he chooses, and all he can think of is how much he wishes he could share this feeling, this magical moment.
His phone is within easy reach and he picks it up, unlocking it without even having to look, letting his muscle memory take him to his messages, to the thread labelled, Iwa-chan.
He pauses, not knowing what to say. He wants the world for Hajime, but in a different way that he wants it for himself. Tooru wants everything, but he wants to fight for it, wants to have achieved it with his hard work, with his sheer determination.
For Hajime, he wants the best, without even having to try. He wants Hajime to feel proud, to feel accomplished, but he doesn't wish the same kind of struggle on him, doesn't want him to feel the constant need to prove himself.
In these small hours of the morning, when not even the birds are singing outside his window just yet, Tooru pours these sentiments into a text message so long that it spans the entire screen, and then some. He doesn't know if any of it is coherent, and he doesn't really care because he knows that Hajime will understand all the same. That's one of the reasons Tooru loves him so much; Hajime has always understood him without Tooru even having to say a thing, but he also understands that Tooru tends to be wordy sometimes, that he needs to fill the silence with words. He's good at cutting through them, to the heart of what Tooru means. There isn't even the smallest doubt that he will do the same this time.
Content, Tooru hits send. He waits for a moment, in case it earns him a reflexive reply telling him to go to sleep, as his messages sometimes do. It doesn't this time, and he puts his phone down, checking the time again.
It's just a few minutes before four o'clock. With a sigh, Tooru shuts his eyes, feeling his exhaustion finally creep up on him.
The next morning, Hajime walks with him to school as always, and makes no mention of the message.
Before they start practice, though, he touches his hand to Tooru's back, familiar and comforting. "I have sleeping pills, if you need them. Maybe just try one tonight?"
With a smile, Tooru leans back into Hajime's touch, and nods in reply. He can decide whether or not he wants to take it later, but he knows that it will make Hajime feel better. That's all the reason he needs.
