Bonus Round 3: Gift Tags

Feeling generous? In this round, you get to give creative gifts as prompts.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 7 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

• Submit prompts as a gift tag in the format below. You can specify the size and a characteristic of the gift, who the sender is, who the recipient is, and a one or two sentence note from the sender to the recipient. Descriptions of the package and the included note don’t have to be explicit, see below.

• Your prompt MUST include a relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. Fillers can get creative with how to interpret the prompt: your fill can be about the character receiving the gift, one or both characters using the gift, what prompted the sender to send the gift—the physical gift itself can even be excluded from your fill. What’s important is that the gift tag is clearly the inspiration for your fill.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Kaidou tears resentfully into the package with his fangs. He did not order this at all. Momo just brought it for him, without him asking. By all rights, he should grind the contents of this package in the dirt and then find Momo, and throw it back in his face, that is how little he asked for what is inside this package.

Kaidou thinks all these things and more, bitterly, while horking down chunks of raw meat from the parcel in his hands.

He had been insistent on not needing any human meat. Nausea and grating hunger taught him better. Difficulties shifting his form all the way back to human told him he needed it. When Kaidou was forced to accept that he needed it, he insisted on the only force stronger than innate need: he didn't want to.

But ever since Kaidou came to, bite on his wrist festering green, his nature had been eroding away at his human morals bit by bit, like tree roots eating a sidewalk. Kaidou licked shreds of wax paper - fuck you Momo - out of his teeth and grumpily thought back to the advent of all his troubles.

Momo's face grinning above him as he opened his bleary eyes, proclaiming "we mutts gotta stick together!" and tying up the wound that leaked poison into Kaidou's blood.

Momo laughing as Kaidou's face retained its whiskers and coarse hair as he refused to acknowledge the fact of life that would change him back, if only for a couple weeks.

Momo dripping human blood onto the drying gray-purple tongue lolling from Kaidou's snout as he stubbornly dehydrated himself. And later, pushing pre-chewed flesh between his teeth.

Every time Kaidou ceded ground and allowed himself to fulfill the natural functions that fueled his now supernatural life, Momoshiro had been there, laughing and pushing him to it. It was enough to make Kaidou grit his teeth, except he learned pretty quickly that doing that with fangs could cut up the inside of one's cheeks.

Tonight was another milestone of Kaidou doing a thing he didn't want to admit he needed to do, as a freshly minted werewolf. He'd never voluntarily eaten before. The most he did was sit back and let Momo put food into his mouth, swallowing when he turned away. He kept putting up a show, weaker and weaker.

"Man, how long are you gonna keep this up?" Momo asks.

That's wrong, Kaidou thinks, I'm no man anymore. I'm a big monster dog.

"Maybe you wanna be fed mouth to mouth, hmm? like a small baby bird?"

"I'll bite that tongue out of your mouth if you get it that close to me, smartass!" Kaidou snarls back.

"So you'll eat your own food now! Great, that settles it!"

Kaidou thinks about the parcel's note again, though he can't read it, because the paper was currently stuck to his tongue. It looked like after tonight, Momo wanted him to take another step on his own, by getting his own food. He didn't want to. He really didn't want to, in part because of the easygoing laugh of the person telling him to. Fuck off, Momo. But if it was Momo, Kaidou would probably go out and kill his own food eventually. That's just how it went.
