sportsanime | Bonus Round 4: Quotes

A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Aomine kisses the same way he provokes fights, quick and sharp as lightning, pulling back with a smirk and a lick of his lips before he dives back in for more.

Kuroko is backed up against the wall and he's breathless, helpless, feeling like he's being dragged underwater. He doesn't have the chance to gather his bearings or to even get his head around the pace that Aomine has set.

This is different to being on the court with him, though. Kuroko gets that. This is more like watching Aomine in the middle of a fist fight and for better or worse, Kuroko has seen that too, but not as much, nowhere near enough to understand.

"Aomine-kun," he gasps out, and his lips feel bruised and swollen; he can only imagine what they must look like. Aomine's gaze darkens as it drops to them and then he's leaning in again, biting and sucking at them. Kuroko doesn't have the strength to push him away, but when he places his hand on Aomine's chest, it's enough.

Aomine pulls back and Kuroko feels like he can breathe again, his lips stinging as he murmurs, "Aomine-kun, you're hurting me."

"Sorry, Tetsu," Aomine murmurs and he drags his thumb over Kuroko's mouth, making him hiss softly in pain. "I don't think I know how to do anything without hurting someone."

Lately, Kuroko has found that the person getting hurt tends to be Aomine himself. All things considered, Kuroko doesn't mind that it's him for a change.

He tries to say as much but his words are lost against Aomine's lips again and there's nothing that he can really do but kiss back and hope that it's enough. At the very least, it might give him the time he needs to work out this side of Aomine because even if it feels the way he acts in the middle of a fight, there's still something else, something more to it that he can't quite find the meaning behind. It's there in the way Aomine's fingers dig into the fabric of Kuroko's clothes, in the way he presses himself so close that Kuroko can barely even tell where he ends and where Aomine begins and it's nice to be this close again, after so long, after—

"Oh," Kuroko breathes as the realisation settles upon him like pins and needles on his skin.

He knows why Aomine's kisses feel so odd, why they have a quality to them that Kuroko can't quite figure out.

Aomine might be kissing the way that he fights but this time, he kisses like he's losing.
