A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

"Ugh, that dress and those boots? Is that woman serious? It's summer of 2016, not the fall of 1994."

Arakita snorts, drinking his bepsi and chewing on the ice. "You think she's actually got shit taste, or is she dressed like that for a reason?"

Toudou squints over his over the top chocolate frappacino with extra whipped cream, trying to figure out the question. "Who would wear such a monstrosity on purpose."

"To find off a bad date."

"Ooooo," Toudou raises his eyebrows high up his forehead, skepticism still lingering but at least now he's smiling with the idea. "That could be, though if she's dating a boy that bad, there's no way he'd notice her terrible shoes. Or would say anything about it besides total agreement." He shakes his head, "I can see it now, that poor girl. She'd think he's about to give her a strange look, and instead he just gives her an awkward smile and `oh babe, they look so hot on you, I love it!`"

Arakita busts out laughing at the terrible fake impersonation, Toudou following suit. They're probably becoming a bother to the others at the cafe tables, but eh, fuck 'em.

Honestly, he doesn't remember how this weird tradition between the two of them started. Hell, Arakita wonders if Toudou even remembers (he probably does, he remembers real weird shit). But how it started really doesn't matter - what matters is that the two of them make time to meet once a week, every week, to grab coffee together. Arakita's offered to take him out to a bar, but Toudou's weird about drinking, and honestly Arakita doesn't care enough to push it.

Sometimes they just spend the time talking, catching up. College is rough on both of them, and it's weird not seeing each other all the time especially after spending nearly ten hours a day together at Hakone. Most of the time though, they spend like this, giggling and snorting at the idea that some poor girl is dressing herself in a hideous outfit in hopes of scaring off a shitty boyfriend.

It's nice. It's easy.

Most of all, it's salty as hell and Arakita loves it. Between biking practice and classes and parties, this is probably the best part of his week

"Oh man, check out that shit idiot." Arakita motions to a guy who just walked into the cafe, "Who goes out with clothes inside out?"

Toudou covers his mouth with his hand, and Arakita can still hear the giggles. "You can even see the stitches and the light part of the fabric, goodness, it's such a shame." Toudou sighs, over-dramatic as he flips back one piece of his bang. "A shame that not everyone can be as smart and hot as me."

"Oh my god, just chill it with that." Arakita has no compunctions about kicking Toudou under the table, making him yelp.

"Rude! So rude, Arakita-kun, I can't believe you give me this abuse when I am kind enough to grace you with my presence."

"I bought you that drink and so help me you say one more shitty thing I'll slap it to the floor."

In defiance, Toudou locks eye contact and slurps down the entire large frozen drink until he goes blue in the face.

"Augh, dammit!" Toudou holds his head, "Stupid drink, stupid brain freeze!"

Arakita laughs until he cries.

Scratch that, this is definitely the best part of his week.
