Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

FILL: TEAM KURAMOCHI YOUICHI/MIYUKI KAZUYA, G

they're nerds and kuramochi's thirsty too tbh
***
"Would you believe what they told me at work today?"
Kuramochi looks up from where he'd been seated on their couch, scrolling through his phone until Miyuki greeted him in this manner. "Depends on what it is," he says, pulling his knees closer to his chest so Miyuki can sit down next to him.
"You mean you won't automatically take your amazing and loving boyfriend's side? Rude."
Kuramochi snorts at the overdramatics, setting his phone aside. He feels like he'll need to focus on wherever this conversation is going. "Like I said, depends on what it is."
Miyuki sighs, leaning back against the couch and stretching his legs out in front of him as he speaks. "They told me I need to update my hairstyle. Can you believe it?"
Thing is, Kuramochi can (and does) believe it. Mostly because he feels the same and has told Miyuki the exact same thing before, only to be met with a pout or a complaint instead. "Well..."
"What does 'well...' mean? Youichi?"
He laughs a little. "I'm just saying that it's not exactly bad advice..." It's good advice, actually. Very good advice.
"So you think so too? You don't like my hair?"
Truth is, he likes everything about Miyuki. Miyuki could have an even dumber haircut than the one he's always had, and Kuramochi wouldn't care because it's Miyuki's hair and Miyuki's his stupidly endearing boyfriend that he kind of loves a lot.
(He might just refrain from going anywhere in public with Miyuki without him wearing a hat for a while if Miyuki did anything worse to his hair.)
"If you want my totally truthful answer, I think it looks like you're living ten years in the past and you could use a change."
"Your hair isn't perfect," Miyuki retorts, leaning over to touch Kuramochi's hair like he's making a point. "You look like a bird."
"Seriously?" Even though he tries to make a comeback, he can't because he's laughing too much. "That's all you've got?"
"No." And Miyuki leans closer, pressing himself flush against Kuramochi, laughing as he continues to mess up Kuramochi's hair while Kuramochi tries to slap his hands away even in this constricted position on their couch--Miyuki practically on top of him to reach his hair while Kuramochi's laughing, jokingly attempting to push him away.
Eventually, they give up, settling down to catch their breath. Kuramochi wraps an arm around Miyuki's waist, holding him against his chest as they lie here together, both still hiccuping with the lingering traces of laughter.
"It'd look good, you know," Kuramochi finally murmurs as a thought of Miyuki with a different haircut pops into his head. He tangles his fingers in Miyuki's hair, brushing them through the messy way his hair curls at the base of his neck. "If you changed your hair, I mean."
Miyuki laughs a little, pulling his cheek away from where it'd been pressed against Kuramochi's chest so they can look at each other instead. "And you know that because you can predict the future?"
"Shut up. I just thought... you might look good with an undercut." Like, really good. Ridiculously good, actually. He runs his hand over the back of Miyuki's hair, imagining what it'd be like. A thought he can't seem to unthink once he'd considered it. God damn.
"Oh?" Miyuki looks surprised, but quickly masks it with amusement. "You think so?"
"Yeah."
"I only 'might' look good, though?"
He groans. "Quit fishing for compliments."
"I'm not." Miyuki grins at him. "I'm merely weighing my options and searching for advice from my apparent fashion expert of a boyfriend."
"Everyone would agree that I'm more fashionable than you, Kazuya." There wouldn't even be a contest, if they wanted to ask around and make one of it. "But fine. You'd look good if you did it." He grins, running his fingers through Miyuki's messy mop of hair again. "Really good."
"Maaaybe I'll consider it if the opportunity presents itself." Now Miyuki's just teasing since Kuramochi'd told him he'd look good. He rests his palms on Kuramochi's chest, laying his chin on his hands while he looks at Kuramochi, smiling at him.
"You work in a hair salon. You could get someone to do it for you any time."
"And what if I'm attached to my hair how it is?"
"It'll grow back," Kuramochi says. "If you try it and don't like it... I'll go with you if you want to do it. For moral support." Or something like that. Really, he just doesn't want to wait to see it if Miyuki really does go through with it. Doesn't want to miss being the first to see it.
"Okay, okay. Fine. Maybe you're right. And who am I to deny the world something that would look good on me?"
"Please don't get too far ahead of yourself," Kuramochi manages through a laugh.
Turns out, he realizes the next day, when Miyuki's getting it done at work, Kuramochi standing nearby and watching, he's right. It looks damn good. Almost too good. (Not that Kuramochi's complaining about that, though.)
This was quite possibly one of the best ideas he's ever had. He doesn't have a single regret and doesn't think that Miyuki will either.
