Bonus Round 1: AUs

AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

Have a question? Check The FAQ first. If you still need help, feel free to contact the mods. Happy fanworking!

Summoning rituals are all unique. Books hold the base of them, the incantations and sigils required to open a path from one world to the next, but what determines if a demon answers or not is the offerings.

Demons of lust are easy to summon; high quality bedsheets, kinky accessories, an opened jar of lube with just a little scooped out and they’ll come eagerly.

Of course, getting rid of them is a more difficult prospect. Mortals tire far quicker than incubi or succubi. Many a parent only discovered their teenager had been dabbling in the dark arts when they found the naked corpse with a face frozen in a rictus of delight.

Demons of pride are the second-most difficult to summon. Haughty creatures that they are, they will not come for supplicants who are too humble nor for those who are too arrogant. A delicate balance must be struck between beseeching and begging and those who succeed in summoning a pride demon must be prepared to sacrifice all self-respect.

(Demons of sloth are actually the hardest to summon. They’re just too lazy to come. And if they do come, they’re too lazy to leave.)

Inui has carefully researched all the different sorts of demons that can be summoned and how to do so. With perfect data, how can his summoning be less than perfect?

A demon of wrath, such as the one he seeks to summon today, requires offerings born of rage. Inui has collected his carefully. Here is blood from the opponent who spat blood onto the court in a gesture of rage that will now be his downfall. Here is the boy’s tooth that fell out with the blood. Blood, bone and – Inui thinks of the boy, fills his heart with hate, and carves off a thin sliver from the inside of his thigh where it will not show – flesh. The blood and bone of his target. The flesh of his own body, to show what he is willing to sacrifice.

He piles them in the center of the summoning circle and begins.

By the end of his chant, the circle is filled with wavering smoke that gradually coalesces into the lean body of a teenage male, white haired and red-skinned. The whites of his eyes are red and within them glow tiny toxic pupils, green as gangrene. He has no horns, no forked tail, but his smile is the downfall of nations.

“And what do you want, mortal?” He asks in a voice that is the laughter of dying infants.

Inui cannot help but think he has made a terrible mistake.
