Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

“I place this card face down in defense mode,” Akira announced coolly from the opposite side of the table, “And end my turn.”
He folded his hands when he was done, the way he always did, and watched Hikaru expectantly.
What should I do, Sai? Hikaru asked as he studied his cards intently. Having a 3000 (or 5000) year old ghost haunting you who insisted you play Duel Monsters tournaments could be a little odd sometimes but once they were in the tournaments, nothing felt as natural as discussing strategies with Sai.
Sai peered over his shoulder, strands of black hair swinging insubstantially through Hikaru’s arm as Sai pondered their moves.
Akira really is very clever, Sai said thoughtfully.Sacrifice Summoning like that completely changed the playing field!
His ghostly fingers drifted above one card.
Play Pot of Greed, Hikaru. And don’t forget to explain what it does.
HIkaru wasn’t sure why he had to explain every time what that one specific card did but he nodded anyway, glancing over the rest of the cards on Akira’s mat.
What do you think his facedown card is? A spell or a trap?
Perhaps a spell, Sai answered, scrutinizing Akira’s expression of calm patience. It cannot be a monster since he placed it in a Spell & Trap Zone. And he could activate a spell card faster than a trap card.
Hikaru nodded eagerly, pleased that he was finally grasping the complicated rules of the game enough to make it worth speaking to Sai. Unless it’s a counter trap card!
That’s also a possibility, Sai agreed. What do you think, Hikaru?
Hikaru frowned, pushing a hand through his hair nervously. Sai had so much more experience than him! He played Duel Monsters back when it was done with actual souls! Trying to offer opinions for a game he’d only just started playing was absolutely nerve-wracking – but worth it for when he got it right.
I think it’s a counter trap card, he said finally. Akira hasn’t used any since the game began and I’ve got a card in facedown mode already. He must be getting worried about what it is.
He paused, then continued a little more uncertainly, And I think it’s going to be part of a Chain. He likes chains.
Very good, Hikaru! The genuine pride in Sai’s voice made Hikaru sit up a little straight and beam to himself, seemingly at nothing.
Across the mat, Akira looked very confused indeed at the sudden change in mood.
