Bonus Round 1: AUs

AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

Aoyagi reached up and twitched Teshima’s cravat, making a minuscule adjustment that’d draw more attention to the gold pin in the center. Sohoku’s colors were not the best for ballroom dancing but nonetheless, they’d done their best to come up with outfits that’d show their school pride and still make them look good.

Aoyagi’s tuxedo was a dark, deep red instead of the bright red that the more traditional athletes wore, with a white vest, red shirt and black cravat decorated with a pin bearing the Sohoku crest. Teshima’s tuxedo was white, the color standing out beautifully against his dark hair and tanned skin, with a sunny yellow vest, a black shirt and a red cravat. It was not the most harmonious color palette and all the pairs with girls had a huge advantage when it came to being dramatically dressed, but the pair were hoping that their skills would make up for their potential lack of aesthetic appeal.

On stage, the chattering of the last pair with the judges died down and Teshima felt the familiar nerves grip his stomach. Aoyagi’s hand crept into his and Teshima squeezed. The simple act of offering reassurance calmed him as well.

The first notes of their song floated into the air and Teshima took a deep breath. Other couples walked out, talked to the judges and then launched into their routine.

T2 preferred to make a showier entrance.

As the music swelled, Teshima turned to face Aoyagi. He placed one hand on Aoyagi’s waist and raised their joined hands into the air. A C# on a mournful violin sang out - there! That was their cue. He swung Aoyagi out from the curtains, Aoyagi’s frock coat swirling out around his legs and then followed, spinning around and around with Aoyagi so the lifted frock-coats seemed to form one skirt around them as if they were the stamens of a flower and their frock coats were petals.

His hands dropped to Aoyagi’s waist and he lifted Aoyagi into the air, spinning him around delicately before placing him down and separating in a single smooth movement. They pulled away, then came back together, this time in the elegant glide of a Viennese waltz. By now, they’d practiced together so often that they made the waltz look effortless, as easy and natural as breathing.

There were cameras recording them, Teshima knew, but the smile Aoyagi gave him was for Teshima alone.
