Bonus Round 3: FSTs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
• Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
• Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

• 14 lines (poetry)

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Ahhh, okay, I hope you like this, I tried for the OT3 post Tomoe absconding!

“...Your phone has the time for America and here both,” Heath observes as he opens up the note-taking app.

“...Yes.” Kyousuke doesn’t say anything else to justify himself but Heath has to probe, pushing like he would at a half-healed bruise he wants to heal faster.

“Do you talk to him still?” Heath makes his tone as casual as he can but there’s never been any use in lying to Kyousuke. The three of them know each other too well for that.

“Yes,” Kyousuke says after a second’s pause.

Without thinking, Heath rubs the tattoo on his stomach. The triangle formed around his navel should be altered but that would take all meaning from it. Without a third point, a triangle is nothing but a single line. And without a third line, a triangle is an arrow pointing in the wrong direction.

The only option would be to remove it entirely but Kyousuke is still here. He has made the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of the team and unlike Tomoe, he didn’t lace up his sneakers and run away (all the way across the ocean, leaving sea spray in his wake).

Kyousuke does not deserve to be erased the way that Tomoe does, even if he is still conversing with Tomoe.

A thousand questions jumble together behind Heath’s teeth but he holds them all back and chooses the most neutral one. “How’s he doing?”

“Striding, still.” A neutral answer for a neutral question and Heath has been hoist on his own petard.

“Of course he is. If we were in Pompeii, he’d be one Striding away from the lava.” And leaving his brother to burn. Heath doesn’t say that part but he does remember the little kid who’d come cheer at their Stride competitions. He wonders what the boy thinks of his brother’s sudden departure; does he miss Tomoe like Heath does?

No. Surely not. At least, surely not in the same way.

Heath’s cheeks flush guiltily and he realizes he’s missed Kyousuke’s answer. Rather than admit to daydreaming about Tomoe when Kyousuke is right there, he shifts in his chair and leans over to rest his hand over Kyousuke’s.

“Next time you talk to him, tell him I said hi,” he says as lightly as he can manage. It’s not forgiveness but it’s the closest to it that he can come. Tomoe will understand that.

Kyousuke understands it too.

anyway, "...pushing like he would at a half-healed bruise he wants to heal faster", this is a really relatable sentiment for me. it's like a type of self harm, at least in trying to acknowledge that the pain is still real and present?? heath's trying to pretend he's not there, but kyousuke's there too and he knows. it's a quiet understanding, one all three have

i love the tattoo!!!! the significance of it, the emphasis on what missing a third of it would be like. it feels so resonant also it echoes the title of boxes and squares for me, but this is not an ot4 lol

so much to unpack here with heath getting lost in his thoughts, stuck on tomoe's memory in the wake of an abrupt departure. using that as an opportunity to reach out for something of a new start!! just to test out the waters, it's so much more timid than what you'd expect of him, but also right in character????

yeah, this fits the fst so well, so full of longing and introspection on what's left after the end of a relationship what it's like to feel left behind nothing's actually final because there are all these pieces lingering, unresolved loose ends ;v; but they're trying and i hope it counts
