Bonus Round 4: Quotes

Quotes

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

An oldie but a goodie—in this round, we draw inspiration from famous words said by other people.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
    • Example: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche
    • The quote can come from almost anything—famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, etc.— but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

Warnings for ALIENS and body possession and dubcon (rape by deceit because it’s not like D12-Z is SAYING zir’s an alien).

***

Tomorrow, D12-Z decided, ze would pick another host body. Ze would choose one that was well-intentioned and surrounded by people of good character. Ze would then proceed to turn over a new leaf and really help this primitive little race that inhabited the planet.

The problem was, this body’s pleasure-partner was really quite skilled. Every time that ze decided to broach the topic of breaking up, the pleasure centers of the host’s brain would be stimulated by the sight of the pleasure-partner’s distress. D12-Z didn’t think that such reactions were common for this species, given how much of their imaginary narratives relied upon people comforting each other, so perhaps this body was just defective.

Experiments with the pleasure-partner had shown that the body responded well to being in pain, endorphins flooding out at a rate that was surely in excess of the species’ norms. As it was his first host body, D12-Z had nothing to compare it with but ze couldn’t believe that the species would have survived for too long had all members found pain to be such a pleasant sensation. They would surely kill themselves off far too young if they all enjoyed being hurt!

On the other hand, the pleasure-partner also seemed to enjoy being hurt though to a lesser degree. The struggles for dominance that were enacted during coupling seemed to activate the more primitive, unevolved parts of the animal brain, adrenaline heightening the senses and sensations both.

Were D12-Z to be asked to deliver a report to zir’s superiors of the species, ze would mostly be able discourse knowledge on the wide variety and intensity of the coupling processes. Despite it often not resulting in offspring, the dominant species on the parent devoted multiple resources towards coupling and while in the throes of coupling, they produced so many hormones that it was a wonder the brain functioned at all under the wash of chemicals from the body.

Apart from that, all ze had really observed was how cruel the species could be to each other - and yet this was a planet where the dominant species was known for its ability to cooperate. If it hadn’t been for that, D12-Z would have never been sent down to investigate. Only cooperative or mindmeld-susceptible species were allowed to join the Alliance.

Ze really needed to see more of the good side of this species. Tomorrow ze would take a different host body and leave this one to its depravity.

(The fact that ze had told zirself that for the last four nights running did not diminish the sincerity of that promise in the least!)
