SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

An oldie but a goodie—in this round, we draw inspiration from famous words said by other people.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.

  • The quote can come from almost anything—famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, etc.— but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

“I will ruin their lives,” Hanamiya swore, hot with humiliation and rage. He pinned Imayoshi’s wrists against the bed and fucked himself on Imayoshi’s cock as if it were a scourge and he were peeling his back raw.

Imayoshi, trapped underneath him, enjoyed the rare sight of Hanamiya thwarted. The high rise of color on Hanamiya’s cheeks, the frustrated gleam of his eyes, the way that he used every muscle in his body to pound himself down against Imayoshi so viciously…

Hanamiya was far too used to getting what he wanted. It was a delight to see him foiled by someone else for a change.

“Kiyoshi thinks he has it rough with not being able to play basketball after this year? Fuck that. He got off light. That little invisible-passing bitch--” Hanamiya’s teeth flashed white, whiter than any wolf’s, and Imayoshi thought of how very small Kuroko had looked against Hanamiya, “And his precious oversized American import and glasses boy, they’re all going to wish they didn’t have anything more to worry about than fucking basketball.”

“What are you going to do?” Imayoshi asked, his voice impressively steady despite how Hanamiya was jostling him.

“Wait,” Hanamiya said savagely, “Wait until they’re off their fucking guards, and then ruin everything.”

Imayoshi thought, as he did so often, how lucky he was that Hanamiya didn’t hate him.

Every suitable, polite, respectful girl from a good family that Imayoshi dated turned against him after the third date or so. He never managed to get a straight answer from them as to why. They just avoided him.

The girls that were rumored to be easy had nothing to do with him either and as for the boys, it was as if Imayoshi was cursed. Any time that he even tried to approach one, they bolted.

Imayoshi was good with reading people and manipulating them but that required him to get close enough to actually speak to them. He couldn’t do anything if they ran like rabbits - and he certainly couldn’t inquire as to why people like that were avoiding him. It would do no good for his reputation to hear he sought out that sort of companionship.

Law school was gruellingly difficult but every morning, coffee and pastry was delivered to his doorstep and waiting for him by the time he woke up. Imayoshi appreciated it; the manager at the coffee place wouldn’t say who’d paid for the orders but it wasn’t as if there were many people who could afford it.


It was almost touching that Hanamiya was still keeping an eye on him.

Almost.

Imayoshi knew Hanamiya too well to think that being one of his obsessions would ever end well.

His parents arranged a marriage and the same night the announcement came out in the papers, photos were anonymously sent to their email of Imayoshi naked and come-splattered, wearing a blissful well-fucked expression that was unmistakable.

He’d done some fast talking in the time but this was the fastest.

He should have remembered that in the end, Hanamiya broke everything that wasn’t his.

There's something about this that is deeply unsettling, partially because it's terrifying that Hanamiya would go to such lengths, but also because Imayoshi is so passive/accepting of his actions? It's such a dark dynamic, but you write it so well and I believe it as much as I am startled by it, which is neat! Thanks so much for sharing!

I love the fact that canonically, Hanamiya says that Imayoshi can practically read minds and Imayoshi is listed as having his eye on Hanamiya. And Hanamiya says Imayoshi isn't SMARTER than him, but better at mind games.

(Also that Hanamiya canonically has an IQ over 160.) This is why I ship them together. They're too dark and fucked up and sadistic to inflict on anyone else but they can fight each other as equals.

Imayoshi accepts that if you play with fire, you're going to get burnt. But he's still going to use Hanamiya as a firebreak, as Greek fire, and burn everyone else more.

"I wouldn't want to compete at things like poker with him. Reading the opponents minds from their facial expressions and habits... he's a monster when it comes to playing mind games. He's completely aware of what Kuroko is thinking. No one is better at that than him. At doing what others don't want him to."
