Bonus Round 5: Clue

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
- The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
- Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
- The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
- Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

Akira walks into a brightly lit ballroom. It's silent, which is odd, and nearly empty. On the other side of the room sits Chinatsu. She has something in each hand, and she keeps looking from one to the other, her face creased in a frown.
“Chinatsu?” Akira calls, hesitant. This feels wrong.
Chinatsu looks up.
“Aki,” she replies. The frown smooths away. “Can you help me? I can't choose.”
Akira hurries over. Of course she'll help; she'd do anything for Chinatsu.
“What is it?” She can see, now, that Chinatsu is holding two different pairs of shoes: laced-up shoes in her left hand, and low heels in her right. Chinatsu shoves her hands at Akira.
“You choose, Aki,” she says. Something about the way she speaks leaves no room to demur. This is Akira's choice.

Left
Chinatsu is Akira’s best friend, and a wonderful leader. Akira has never felt so safe as when she is in Chinatsu’s arms, or as happy as when the two of them are together. And because Chinatsu is so good at leading, and because Akira can be a little selfish, sometimes, Akira never offers to trade off on leading. And because Chinatsu is so good at leading, and because she is a little arrogant, Chinatsu rarely presses the matter.
It's fine. This works for them. Akira gets to wear pretty dresses and be held by Chinatsu, who looks so lovely in her white shirt and with her hair slicked back. Chinatsu gets to dance and show off how good she is.
It works for them, until it doesn’t. Chinatsu has always been bold and a little arrogant, and she doesn’t notice when she breaks Akira’s heart. Akira thought they were partners, true partners, but Chinatsu is a leader, and leaders only think of themselves.
Aki doesn’t need to do anything, really. The words, so carelessly spoken, sour their friendship. Akira isn’t equal to Chinatsu, just a doll to be moved around at will, and she hates it. But she can’t stay away from Chinatsu either; she still feels safe in her arms.
They find little ways to hurt each other, in the ways that only close friends can. They know each other’s weaknesses, how to get under each other’s skin. They still dance, but it’s not the same. Dance is ruined for Akira, and Chinatsu, who loves it, is aging out of being allowed to lead.
It’s unfortunate, really, but that’s how things go, sometimes.
(In this world, Chinatsu becomes a champion dancer. After years of spiteful words and actions and mutual hurt, they'll never be what they once were. But when Chinatsu laughingly says in an interview that she never would be where she is now if it weren't for her first partner, Akira picks up her phone and wonders if they can be something new.)
---
“I don't know!” Akira says, looking from one pair to the other. “I can't!”
“You have to choose,” Chinatsu insists. “It's up to you.”
---
Right
Chinatsu is Akira’s best friend, and a wonderful leader. Akira has never felt so safe as when she is in Chinatsu’s arms, or as happy as when the two of them are together. But Chinatsu loves dance, and Akira loves Chinatsu, so sometimes they trade off. Akira is a weak leader, and Chinatsu a pushy partner, but they find a balance, somehow.
Akira can still remember how pretty Chinatsu was in the first competition they danced with Akira as leader. They lost, of course; they always do when Akira leads, but Akira felt so happy being the one to hold Chinatsu.
“I’m a better leader than you,” Chinatsu says one day as they practice. “You should let me lead all the time.”
It’s tempting. Akira loves it when Chinatsu leads; she feels beautiful and delicate and safe. But she likes holding Chinatsu, too. She doesn’t want to give that up, even if she isn’t very good at it. So she hides behind convention.
“No,” she replies. “We’re not supposed to let one person do all the work.”
They go back and forth—Akira becomes a mediocre leader, and Chinatsu a passable partner. They have their preferred roles, but they manage not to embarrass themselves too badly the rest of the time.
They get older, and girls can’t compete in pairs forever. Chinatsu is so good, so pretty, that there are plenty of boys who want to partner with her; Akira tries not to feel smug when Chinatsu complains about how gross they are and their clumsy hands. Chinatsu has never complained about her.
But she finds a leader, somehow, a boy who isn’t good enough for her but doesn’t mind that she’s better than him. Chinatsu won’t be happy with him forever (she tolerates him at best now), but she can compete properly now, and that’s what she cares about. Akira hates him.
She has to decide, now, what to do. She doesn’t love dance; she never has; it’s fun, but so are a lot of things. She loves Chinatsu, though, and she wonders if it’s worth it to keep dancing without her. Can they still be friends without dance? They were friends before it, but dance is Chinatsu’s life now.
(In this world, Chinatsu never becomes a great dancer, and her friendship with Akira gradually fades, as many friendships do. Years later, they meet again, and fall to talking about their childhood dreams. They trade numbers.)
---
“Which one lets me stay with you?” Akira asks, close to tears. “I want to stay with you!”
Chinatsu puts the shoes in her lap and looks at them. Then she looks up at Akira.
“I don't know,” she says. “But I trust you, Aki.”
Akira's heart swells. She takes a breath, and points.
