Bonus Round 5: Clue

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
- The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
- Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
- The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
- Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

"Kaidou, it arrived. I'm working late." The text message from Inui was short, but for once it contained most of the salient details. Or at least, it did if one knew the relevant context.
Kaidou didn't have to ask exactly what it was that had arrived. They had just moved into an apartment together, but their furniture had amounted to nothing more than the boxes they had moved with. The boxes had worked well enough as a temporary solution...until the day Inui tried to use one as a makeshift lab bench.
That incident had caused Kaidou to declare a shopping emergency. Several websites later, they were the proud owners of a table, a new set of shelves, and a passable workspace for Inui, all scheduled to be delivered the following day.
Kaidou looked at his phone again. If Inui was working late, then he might even have time to assemble them before Inui came home. He'd call it a housewarming gift if Inui complained. He was in high spirits when he walked in the apartment door. He'd assemble their furniture, shower, and maybe even have time to make dinner if he was efficient. Even the moving boxes still waiting to be unpacked couldn't dampen his spirits.
An hour later, he was feeling significantly less enthusiastic as he stared at the dozens of pieces that in theory were their new shelving unit. At least, he assumed the smudged stylized drawing on the box was supposed to the shelving unit. The rest of the label had been decidedly unhelpful (Item #35HS7J. Some Assembly Required), and the instruction sheet inside the box was even more cryptic. Still, he thought he finally had all of the pieces sorted and matched to the corresponding inventory list (well, he may still have had some of Medium Screw #6 and Medium Screw #7 mixed up, but if he couldn't tell the difference, it couldn't be that important, right?)
Three hours after that, he was beginning to wonder if anyone had ever managed to assemble one of these units successfully, nevermind on their first attempt. His current version seemed to have more in common with an abstract sculpture than anything he would trust to store any of their belongings.
Sighing, he brushed the latest round of sawdust off of his clothes and starting taking the whole unit apart for the fifth time. Then, he heard the door open as Inui call out, "I'm home."
In the future, whenever anyone asked, Inui said they had purchased the sculpture to make their apartment feel more like their own. Inui being Inui, no one ever questioned him further (the functional shelving unit came a few weeks later when Eiji took matters into his own hands and dragged Oishi over for a day with a new box and a new attempt).
