Bonus Round 7: Free For All

Free-For-All

Let's finish SASO 2017 with a bang. This bonus bonus round allows any kind of prompt imaginable in any format. The sky's the limit!

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with literally any kind of prompt, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms, with the following caveats:
    • Large image prompts should be thumbnailed and linked to, as explained here.
    • Fanart/fanfiction/fanwork prompts are only allowed if you created the fanwork yourself or if you have explicit permission to use it, and proof of permission must be linked to in your prompt header.
    • Quote prompts can come from almost anything, but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
    • Reposting prompts is fine, but be respectful and keep crediting in mind. A prompt belongs to the person who posted it to this round, and who can fill it is determined by whether or not they are on that person's team.
      • If reposting a br2 (tic tac toe) prompt, please post each prompt square as its own individual comment. Posting tic tac toe boards wholesale will crash our br scorer and the bonus doesn't apply for this round, anyway.
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Akira & Hikaru). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Akira/Hikaru). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Besides that, if you want to prompt something, regardless of format—even formats not previously allowed in SASO—go right ahead. If you're unsure you can ask us for clarification, but tbh just go for the gold.
  • Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with a fanwork.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

To say that Kenma didn't do well with fevers would be an understatement. Luckily he didn't get sick often, but when he did, it always turned into an adventure for the people around him. Kuroo thought that growing up together had taught him everything he needed to know about taking care of a sick Kenma, but then Kenma graduated from high school and moved into Kuroo's apartment for his first year of college, and Kuroo was forced to reevaluate everything. As it turned out, bringing schoolwork for a friend and sitting with them for a few hours was very different from being the primary person responsible for taking care of them.

Kenma had come home two days earlier sneezing and sniffling, but he had assured Kuroo that he was fine, just a little too much dust from searching through rarely-used corner of the library. As Kuroo had suspected, Kenma was not actually fine, and he had woken up the next morning shivering with a splitting headache and a fever.

Kuroo hadn't actually witnessed that moment. The first sign he had that something was wrong was an unexpected thud from the bedroom. Kenma had apparently made it halfway through getting dressed before his body had decided that was too much work, and he'd fallen asleep in the middle of the floor with his shirt half over his head.

After dragging Kenma back into bed and leaving some food within easy reach, Kuroo had left him there with strict instructions to stay there and rest. He had come home to Kenma most decidedly not in bed anymore. He had instead been curled up under the kitchen table for reasons Kuroo still wasn't entirely clear on.

He had hoped today would be better, but that unfortunately didn't seem to be the case. Not only was Kenma not in bed when Kuroo walked in, he wasn't anywhere else Kuroo could find either. Not on the couch, or in the bathroom, or the kitchen. Not even in the closet, or under the bed, or asleep in the bathtub. His shoes were still by the door, so Kuroo hoped he hadn't gone far, but there was no accounting for the strange ideas that could occur to a feverish Kenma.

Kuroo was starting to debate calling in backup to help him search when he heard a strange noise coming from the balcony. He looked out the window to where the blankets he had hung out to air were fluttering despite their being no wind.

He sighed as he stepped outside and pulled back the cloth to find Kenma curled up below.

"It's too cold for this, Kenma," he said, "and concrete can't be comfortable place to sleep. Let's get you back inside."

Kenma mumbled something and tried to pull the blankets back over his head, nearly tipping over the entire drying rack in the process. Kuroo sighed again and resigned himself to his fate as he picked up Kenma and the blankets, carried them back inside, and dumped the whole lot back onto the bed.

This is so very soft, and the way Kuroo realizes and responds to the idiosyncrasies of Kenma's illness-related shenanigans is so very gentle.

Thank you for sharing!
