There’s magic in the air at Otonakizaka Academy. She senses it around her in the flowers that bloom, in the water they drink; Honoka can feel the essence of a spell creeping around her each time she steps into a brick building. There’s magic all around them, mystery everywhere, a well of unknown possibilities that she hasn’t had the chance to tap into yet. They can’t just let the school shut down!
Honoka frowns at the thought, rubbing her temples. There has to be something she can do to save the school. Of course she’d already tried marching up to the Director and just telling her about the magic—the Director didn’t seem to believe her though, and Umi had pulled her back and told her that their childhood games weren’t going to work when it came to serious issues. Honoka had waved her hands in the air and explained that this was real sorcery; this wasn’t a game, but Umi didn’t seem to believe her. Even when Honoka amplified Kotori’s magic in front of her, using it to make sakura petals grow.
She sits up straight in her seat. Wait, that’s an idea!
That’s what I’ll do—I’ll find someone whose magic can make dreams come true!
Honoka leaps out of her chair as soon as class is out for the day. She bounces from classroom to classroom, peering around in search of someone who has the right kind of aura, the sort of thing she can amplify to her benefit. And then, when she passes by the music room, she sees her. The red-haired girl is singing and playing the piano, and Honoka can hear the magic in the notes of her song. It’s the kind of thing that she just senses, just knows. The red-haired girl has a way of charming people into giving her what she wants, even if she probably doesn’t know it yet.
Honoka claps her hands as soon as the girl’s song is over, practically pressing her face to the window before barging in.
“Help us compose more music! We need you to keep the school alive!”
The girl stares at Honoka like she just grew another head. Honoka beams brightly, placing a hand on the girl’s shoulder, channeling her energy into the girl as she continues to speak. Now all she has to do is to get the redhead to agree to join her idol group; there’s no way they won’t succeed if she has her on her side. Magic is easy enough, once you find the right sort of host. Getting Maki to desire this will be the hard part.
There’s magic in the air at Otonokizaka Academy. Together, she and her new friend will keep it alive.
idk if you baited me on purpose chess, but thank you.
