- Your prompts can take the form of recalling canon facts/events ("Remember when Nozomi and Eli got parfaits after school?"), non-canon events ("Remember when Megumi and Jin met at the Tadokoro Family Reunion?"), or somewhere in-between ("Remember when Bokuto and Kenma first met?"). Headcanons and AUs are welcome!
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Rei & Nagisa). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Rei/Nagisa). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

Fill: Team Furuya Satoru/Miyuki Kazuya, T
word count: 877
This was supposed to be a simple job, Kazuya thinks, the alarm blaring, covering the sound of their footsteps pounding down yet another corridor to nowhere. He almost hadn’t let them take this job; too easy, he’d thought, but boredom and greed had made him give in, and now where had it landed them? Right in the middle of an obvious setup, the trap sprung as soon as they’d put the first jewel in their bag; sirens blaring and guards entering the room, one of them getting a shot off before Sawamura and Furuya had expertly disarmed them.
Kazuya presses his hand to his side; even in the dark hallway he can see this blood glistening on his black glove. Furuya and Sawamura hadn’t notice the bullet hit him and he isn’t about to bring it to their attention. Adrenaline is pushing him to hurry up and get them out of here, but he can’t deny he’s slowing down now, the slowest of the three of them with or without a gunshot to his side.
Furuya notices first. Of course he does. Kazuya grits his teeth as the tall man’s gaze falls on his face and drifts down to his side. He slows down and Kazuya wants to yell at him to keep going, but Sawamura has already looked back too, both of them frowning at him; instead, he looks down the corridor behind them. The rest of the guards that must be on their way aren’t here yet; he grabs the nearest door handle and twists, bursting into the room, a guest room from the look of it.
Furuya and Sawamura fall back quickly, following him into the room without question. He locks the door even though he’s sure it won’t be of any use. He ignores them, starting to feel the pain in his side fully now that he’s not moving. He breathes hard, limping to the window and checking it. It’s open. They’re on the fourth floor of the mansion, but it’s the only option.
“Go,” he says, nodding to the window, breath labored.
“Damn it, Miyuki, you should have told us you were hurt!” Sawamura glares at him.
“What good would that have done?” he asks, putting pressure on his wound. “I’m just slowing you guys down, get out of here right now.”
“You first,” Sawamura growls.
“Sawamura,” Miyuki sighs. “You’re not that stupid; you know I’m not climbing out that window.”
“I’ll carry you,” Furuya speaks up and Miyuki shakes his head.
“I’ll carry you,” Sawamura insists, the two of them stepping closer to him.
“Neither of you is carrying me; you’ll fall, and then both of us would get caught or break our necks.”
“Isn’t that better, to go together?” Furuya asks, eyes plaintive, and Kazuya’s gut starts to churn.
“What about the other, then? You’d take us from a trio down to one?”
“Miyuki,” Sawamura pleads. Kazuya’s surprised it took this long for tears to spring to his golden eyes. “There has to be a way.”
“There is. You two climb out this window and make a break for it while I cause a diversion.”
“Miyuki,” Furuya starts, but Kazuya holds his hand up for silence.
“If you don’t hurry up, we’re all going down. Do you know how angry I’ll be if you waste your lives fussing over me?”
“Damn it,” Sawamura growls, tears spilling from his eyes as he flings himself at Kazuya, Kazuya sagging under his weight.
He’s about to ask Furuya to get him off when Furuya is there too, wrapping his arms around the both of them and burying his face in Kazuya’s neck, breathing like he’s still running.
“You two,” Kazuya sighs, heart fluttering ridiculously. “Too bad there’s not more time, that bed over there looks soft.”
“If there was more time we’d get us all out, you pervert,” Sawamura sobs, clinging to Kazuya.
“I know, I know,” Kazuya says. “Now get off of me.” He tries to shrug them off, neither budging for a moment. When they move off of him, he misses their warmth immediately, cold creeping up on him that he doesn’t think is from the open window.
“Come here.” He cups Sawamura’s face, kisses him one last time. He tastes like salt and he’s sniffling, but he’s still Sawamura, determined and passionate.
“Furuya,” he pants, pulling away from Sawamura, leaving him to dry his eyes and stepping into Furuya’s space instead. Furuya’s lips are just as focused as ever, even if Kazuya can feel the slight tremor in his body.
“Furuya,” Miyuki breaths against Furuya’s lips when he pulls away. “You have to get him out of here, alright? Don’t let him do something stupid.”
“Okay, Miyuki-senpai,” Furuya agrees, pulling away and pulling Eijun over to the windowsill.
“Play nice, boys,” Kazuya tries to smile at them before Eijun disappears out the window, his heart aching strangely. “Don’t forget, you can only trust each other.”
“Yes, senpai,” they say together, and Kazuya swallows watching them disappear one after the other. He waits until they’re on the ground and crouched in the darkness of the building before limping to the door, cocking his gun and ready to buy them enough time, the jewel he tucked into Furuya’s pocket his parting gift.
