Bonus Round 1: Quotes

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.

Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!" -Kermit the Frog
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Yachi & Kiyoko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Yachi/Kiyoko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
You cannot fill your team's prompts or your own prompts.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Yui was digging through her purse, not for the first time, frantically searching for the day planner that ruled her life. Her boss stood beside her, tapping his foot, and despite his normally friendly face she felt the fear in her bones. It had to be here somewhere.

After an agonizing thirty seconds and half emptying her entire bag she found it. It was packed full, colored sticky notes and book marks and highlighter marks covering every inch like some sort of office supply apocalypse.

"Oh, here!" She said, flipping a few pages as her purse hung by one strap from her arm, and more contents spilled on the floor. "Yes, we can do it next Thursday! Does that, does that work for you?"

"Yes, that'll be fine." He replied, and her shoulders visibly sagged. He turned away but then turned back quickly. "You know, Michimiya, you shouldn't be so stressed, it's not good for you."

She stood up straighter and he laughed a nervous laugh.

"I'm saying this as your friend, not your boss, you know. Take a long lunch, okay?"

"Yes, sir." He cocked his eyebrow at her and she had to smile. "Yes, Sawamura." She corrected, and he nodded.

Long lunches were almost unheard of in her line of work, there was always more to do, more people to meet with, something, god forbid, to organize. She stepped into the cafe, credit card clasped firmly between her fingers so she wouldn't have to dig for it in front of the cashier, and took a moment to take a breath.

She ordered a sandwich and a drink at the counter and turned around to look for a table only to find every one was occupied. Most people were in pairs, some groups of three, but the only person who was alone was a woman about her age, with glasses and long black hair. Yui prided herself on her ability to talk to strangers, even if she had nothing else going for her, she would talk to this stranger and find a place to sit and eat.

"Excuse me." She said, hugging her purse in front of her like a lifeline. The woman looked up and smiled slightly, but she looked confused, probably because Yui wasn't a cafe employee.

"Yes?"

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but may I sit with you? It seems this is a popular place." Yui looked around, prompting the woman to do the same, and when their eyes met she smiled, for real this time.

"Sure, I don't mind."

Yui sat, putting her purse between her feet on the floor and when she looked back up the woman was watching her, no longer using her phone.

"What brings you here?" She asked, and Yui thought it was a strange thing to ask, even before any introductions.

"Here as in, this point in my life you mean? Or your table at this cafe?" She laughed at her own joke and hoped it wasn't too presumptuous.

"Well, if we're going with the deep questions, here, as in this point in your life."

Yui paused, resting her chin in her hand. "To be honest with you, I don't know. I could be anywhere, you know, supposedly. But I'm here, in my home town, working for my childhood best friend and I've never been anywhere, or anything else. So I suppose, what brings me here is nothing." Her tone was flat by the end. She'd never considered her life so concisely before, not like that, certainly not to a stranger in a cafe in the time it took her to wait for a sandwich.

"That's sort of sad."

Yui laughed, and it was a brittle sound. "I suppose it sort of is."

"That's okay. It brought you to my table, right?"

"You're right, that is a positive."
