Bonus Round 1: Quotes

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.

Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!

This round ends at 7PM on June 13 EDT. Countdown Timer.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: "Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!" -Kermit the Frog
  • The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Yachi & Kiyoko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Yachi/Kiyoko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
• You cannot fill your team's prompts or your own prompts.

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)

There is no max work cap.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Errmm sorry if this sucks, (918 words)

"Rin if you like to hang around her so much why don't you date her? Everyone says that your relationship with her is so obvious. You don't even have time for me or your friends anymore!" Haru's eyes were a bit puffy, as he shouted at him. Rin started to talk but Haru cut in again.

"It's always just her her her and everytime you talk to me it's all about her! Why don't you just break up with me so you can be with her huh? I know, you never liked me anyways… you are just playing with me aren't you?"

"Haru I repeat again there's nothing between me and that girl! She is just a friend of mine and why do you keep mentioning about breakup? Do you really want to break up so much? I am going to say this one last time: There is absolutely nothing between me and her okay?"

"Stop. Please just stop talking... I don't want to fight! It's an important time for both of us and you know it! Stop being annoying and can we put this matter aside first?" Haru sighed and turned away from Rin, trying to calm himself down.

But Rin was starting to get agitated because Haru doesn't believe him and couldn't stop himself but kept saying those hurtful words. "Well you think I'm annoying right? Then why don't you just break up with me, not like I care or anything! And it was you who started this topic Haru."

Haru knew he didn't mean it but… he still felt a sharp pain in his heart. How could he not care? Did he only meant so much to Rin? Someone he could throw away when he's had enough? Maybe he wanted to break up a long time ago…

Haru kept his emotions in and took a deep breath. "Rin, why don't we just calm down for a moment and take some time off first… I know you didn't mean that and you know I don't want that."

"It's not all about you okay? Why is it always you? You need to think of others around you too!" Rin shouted at him.

Haru couldn't keep the scornful words in anymore. "What about you? Have you ever thought before you said those words? Have you ever thought of my feelings? Have you ever think about what I was feeling when I saw you with that girl?"

Rin's fist landed on the cupboard behind him. "I keep telling you again and again, me and her are just friends! Do you even trust me on this?"

Haru just looked away and said. "Just don't talk to her so much from now on."

"Why? She's my friend." Rin didn't give in, he thought Haru was just being unreasonable over something so little.

"I already stepped back! What else do you want?"
"There is nothing to step back from at the start!"

Haru pushed Rin away from him and turned to get out of the room but Rin reflexively pulled him back and raised his hand and… slapped him.

Haru stared at him unbelievably.

"I… I didn't mean it..." Rin started to apologize but Haru didn't let him have time to explained when he slammed the door in his face.

Rin slid down to the floor and sighed.

Why did this happen?

Rin decided to go back to Australia.

He knew if he stayed, sooner or later, he would hurt Haru unintentionally. He didn't want to leave him but, it's the best way is it not?

I don't want to hurt you…

Rin slowly walked down the long, long corridor to departure in the airport. He tried to tell Haru but every time he reaches his house door, he didn't dare go in. He was afraid that they'd fight again.

I better let you go, to find the prince you thought you'd find in me…

I better set you free and give you up.

Staying together won't do us any good. Rin looked back one last time, as if hoping to see someone, the someone.

He laughed at himself and turned but then he suddenly heard the voice he's been yearning to hear, shouting his name.

"Rin!" When he saw Haru, his face paled and started to walk away. He couldn't face him now, or he won't be able to go… he can't.

"Rin!" the voice shouted again. "Rin! Don't go! I… I apologize but you know I'm not the best with words so… I'm sorry... Just don't leave."

Rin didn't turn back. He said softly to Haru, "Sorry but I've made my decision… I…" Rin kept on talking but he couldn't hear anything anymore... He was devastated.

Just wave and say goodbye and let you live. Let you live a life without someone like me, constantly hurting you and arguing with you… and be happy Haru…

Without a monster like me.

Rin turned and left.

"Farewell."

Two strings of fate once tightly entwined, two people who laughed and smiled together, who have been together since young. But, strings always have an end. And… this, is the end of their fate together.

Rin didn't turn back. He said softly to Haru, "Sorry but I've made my decision… I can love you, I can bring you happiness, but, maybe not now, not this life, so wait for me Haru?" but he didn't answer.

So you really don't want me here with you?

He turned and left.
