Bonus Round 4: Official Art

Bonus Round 4: Official Art

This round is CLOSED. Late fills can be posted, but they won't receive points.

Memorable canon moments, bizarre omakes, tantalizing magazine spreads—this is the round to explore them all. Bring out your screencaps, promotional art, and manga pages, and let's talk about what really happened.
Please read the rules carefully before posting!

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from an anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, and/or caps from games. Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt screencaps that are taken from a piece of canon media.
  • Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
  • Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
  • Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only.

A hand lands on his shoulder - Koga freezes, though he knows he should brush it away, assert himself as a part of Souhoku, someone who has the right to this space, this camp that he left behind too long before. He doesn't.

Kishigami presses their fingertips against his jersey, shockingly strong for how lithe they appear, and it is not until they have passed that he realizes their palm barely ghosted over him. They are dangerous. His eyes flash from Onoda, to them, as he steps between the two. Koga knows that much.

But they are small - taller than Onoda perhaps, but if he were to raise a hand, they would likely snap in two. The fluorescent lights above flicker to match the patter of rain, and he does not allow himself to blink, for some gut feeling that they could phase out and away without repercussion or response. Kishigami keeps their stance steady, slouched and ready, as they angle their head back towards him. Their eyes are slits cut into their head, as they stare, and Koga knows exactly two things.

He would not dare to take a step towards them.

They're far too aware of how easily he could break them.

When Kishigami speaks, their words do not slither out and around him like a snake. "It's too bad," they say, "That you won't be in a race, again." Their smile curves up and he is faintly reminded of what it felt like to fall off a mountain. "Sir." It reminds him more of a toll keeper.

Onoda simpers at his side - the only person he'd told since the week it had happened, and here, he regrets that he had. His tongue feels heavy as he falls upon nothing but accusation, at memories he cannot cope with even still. "So you're a spy. Who allowed you in here?" Asking questions comes at a cost, but he has paid so many times over. He deserves this.

Perhaps they know, as well. "It's raining, isn't it?" As unfair as any bridge he's come across in life, they don't accept his payment. "Anyone would want to avoid it, would they not?"

"Leave." He answers too harshly, caught up in their sly grin, before he catches sight of how hollow their shoulders look beneath their hoodie. "If you're so bothered by the rain, take an umbrella."

Someone like this shouldn't be allowed near the team - yet Koga is hardly a part of Souhoku, even still, after years of bitterness and distance. When Kishigami takes a silent step away, they tilt their head up, until their hair washes over their back like an illusion of water. Perhaps they could be on a bike - but they should not be in a race. Perhaps they can lie well enough in poorly fit clothes and sharp glances, yet the truth whispers in their elbows pressed into their sides, in their ill-grown lankiness, in their distant voice. They are a first year. Komari Kishigami is fifteen years old.

And they are aware of how he looks at them.

"There's no need." And they do not want it, much the same as him, two years ago. "It is letting up just now." Their sneakers echo now, when they walk away. Their last word is the only truly venomous one of the bunch. "Sir."

Koga does not know what to do.
