Bonus Round 4: Official Art

Bonus Round 4: Official Art

This round is CLOSED. Late fills can be posted, but they won't receive points.

Memorable canon moments, bizarre omakes, tantalizing magazine spreads—this is the round to explore them all. Bring out your screencaps, promotional art, and manga pages, and let's talk about what really happened.
Please read the rules carefully before posting!

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from an anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, and/or caps from games. Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt screencaps that are taken from a piece of canon media.
  • Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
  • Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
  • Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only.

The water is running in the sink, drumming against the basin just loudly enough to dull the sounds of voices coming from the other room. The rest of the team is next door but Sugimoto is standing in the kitchenette of their suite, keeping himself apart because he has important work to do before the next day's racing.

"Ah! No!" he yelps, as he fumbles a bottle between his fingers only for it to go rolling across the countertop. He grabs for it, but it's already fallen to the floor.

There's a solid thump with its impact, followed by the sloshing of the liquid inside it, and with that Teshima is looking up from the sink. He cranes his neck toward Sugimoto, and Sugimoto ducks his head in contrition.

"Oops?" he offers, sheepishly, even as he feels his cheeks start to burn.

"I thought the plan was to get those in the bags for the racers," Teshima says. "Not anywhere but the bags."

"Ah, Teshima-san, sorry, sorry!" Sugimoto replies, waving his hands back and forth in apology.

He scoots around the central counter to grab for the bottle but Teshima is faster, scooping it up from the floor and holding it out with the smoothest of smiles on his face. Sugimoto takes it from him, pulling his hand back too fast.

"I was just in a bit of a hurry, you see," he says, still speaking too loud as he turns away. "It's very important that we prepare everything as best as possible for our team, after all! This is important work! I may have gotten a little over-enthusiastic in my handling of—"

But he cuts off, abruptly, when Teshima's arm settles across his shoulders.

"They're just bags," Teshima says, gently enough that Sugimoto fidgets under the unfamiliar attention. "They aren't what matters. What matters is that we're the ones getting them ready, and supporting the team, don't you think?"

"R-Right!" Sugimoto says. "That's the real important work!"

"You got it," Teshima says, patting him twice on the shoulder, firmly enough that the force of it is almost too hard to take. "Without us, they wouldn't be able to focus only on their riding, and on taking our team's jersey to the goal."

"But this way, they can do that," Sugimoto says, like it's only just properly occurring to him how important that is.

"Yeah," Teshima agrees. "We keep things simple. We wouldn't want our ace to be tired out because he had to do a bunch of menial labor that someone else could do better, anyway, right?"

"Right!" Sugimoto repeats.

Teshima pats him again on the shoulder, his hand dragging across Sugimoto's back as he pulls away. He feels warm, in the wake of where Teshima touched him, and warm in the cheeks as he reaches for the bag he'd been in the middle of packing before his mistake.

"And since we're the ones getting them ready," Teshima says, as he moves back to the sink to finish washing up with Aoyagi, "Try not to throw the energy gels on the floor. The bottles can take a beating, but if any of those burst, you're going to be the one scrubbing them up."

"O-Of course!" Sugimoto says. Though he feels even more flustered than before, he makes certain to take even more care than he'd done before, so that everything ends up exactly where it should be for their teammates.
