Bonus Round 4: Official Art

Bonus Round 4: Official Art

This round is CLOSED. Late fills can be posted, but they won't receive points.

Memorable canon moments, bizarre omakes, tantalizing magazine spreads—this is the round to explore them all. Bring out your screencaps, promotional art, and manga pages, and let's talk about what really happened.
Please read the rules carefully before posting!

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from an anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, and/or caps from games. Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt screencaps that are taken from a piece of canon media.
  • Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
  • Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
  • Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only.

"I'm hungry," Tadokoro announces, as he follows Makishima in through the door.

The interior of the house is dim, the entryway dark without any of the lights inside turned on. Tadokoro knows from this that Makishima's parents must not be home, off on another one of their trips, or out for the night until late. Makishima's sister must not be home, either — if she were, surely there would at least be the faint glimmer of light coming down from upstairs, sneaking out from the crack in her door.

"If you touch anything—" Makishima starts, rounding back on him from where their hand is poised to flick on the light.

"—I'll be executed," Tadokoro finishes, with a hearty laugh. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I know."

Makishima shoots him a glare, vivid even in the dark for how it pulls at their face. Or maybe it's just that Tadokoro's eyes have adjusted to the gloom. But then they slap the switch with their hand, and the light comes on, and they take the opportunity provided while Tadokoro is cringing in momentary blindness to sail along further into the house.

"It's not like you ever follow through on that threat," Tadokoro continues, after blinking the afterimages from his eyes. "How long have you been saying that to me?"

"That's not important," Makishima says, crossing their arms over their chest. "It's the principle of the thing. How long have you been visiting at my house, that you still don't know to respect things that aren't yours?"

"It's not disrespect," Tadokoro says. He shrugs, and walks past them toward the fridge. When he opens the door, the package of thick-sliced deli ham, the fancy kind with the ground pepper rolled all around the edges, is right where he expects it to be. "It's familiarity. That's different."

Makishima huffs, but they don't say anything. Tadokoro can feel the glare being leveled at the back of his head like a tangible thing, warm and impotent.

Tadokoro scoops the package of ham into his palm, pulling it open with the fingers of his other hand. He wastes no time in folding the first slice of it into his mouth. It's delicious, and he hums appreciatively in expression of that. He doesn't miss it, when Makishima's expression softens, however slightly. Not even from across the room.

"At least eat some bread with it," Makishima says before walking closer, pulling a loaf out from the drawer where it had been stored. "Eating out of the package like that is disgusting."

"Tastes better this way," Tadokoro insists.

"Are you sure it's not just the inferior quality of our bread you're turning up your nose at?" Makishima asks.

"That might be a little of it too," Tadokoro agrees.

Makishima rolls their eyes, and reaches past him again to take a plate down from one of the cabinets. Once they've set two pieces of bread on it and reached into the refrigerator themself for the condiments, Tadokoro even deigns to grab a few slices of bread himself.

"Huh," Makishima says, watching him alternate bites of the bread with bites of ham. "Maybe you can be taught after all."

Tadokoro only laughs, and grins, and doesn't resist pointing out — after Makishima has offered him food rather than scolding him for touching it — that, "You know, maybe you can, too."
