Bonus Round 4: Official Art

Bonus Round 4: Official Art

This round is CLOSED. Late fills can be posted, but they won't receive points.

Memorable canon moments, bizarre omakes, tantalizing magazine spreads—this is the round to explore them all. Bring out your screencaps, promotional art, and manga pages, and let's talk about what really happened.
Please read the rules carefully before posting!

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a canon screencap from one of our nominated fandoms along with a ship. Screencaps can be from an anime or manga, as well as any other kind of offshoot media, e.g. official art, drama CD covers, light novel illustrations, magazine covers, and/or caps from games. Doujinshi, fan-made games or any other fan-created work should not be prompted, even if you receive permission. Only prompt screencaps that are taken from a piece of canon media.
  • Keep your prompt concise. Don't prompt a whole manga chapter, for example.
  • Upload the cap somewhere (imgur works well) and post here with the images themselves or a link to them.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work inspired by the cap.
  • Fills can be directly connected to the cap, e.g. panel redraws or writing fic that fleshes out the moment that was capped or that fleshes out what happened directly before/after, but fills can also be more indirectly linked. As long as the work is somehow inspired by the cap, it counts.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

established relationship, kissing, crude comments...?
1084

“Bye, bye!” Oikawa says, wriggling his fingers. He leans over the railing, grinning.

Iwaizumi rolls his eyes, one hand already on the door. The sooner they hurry up, the sooner Iwaizumi can get home. His mother had told him that they were having nabe tonight; Iwaizumi is not prepared to miss out simply because Oikawa wants to drag his feet.

Below them, he hears Kindaichi ask “Why are they staying back?” to which Oikawa calls down, “Secret captain’s business!”

“Secret what-- ”

“They’re probably gonna smooch it up and fu--”

“What! Makki! Don’t be crude with the first years--” Oikawa protests, sounding affronted.

When Iwaizumi glances down, he sees Hanamaki give a little shrug, hands raised in a helpless well, what can you do. Then he back turns to Kindaichi, grinning slightly as he says, “‘s not exactly a denial though, is it?”

Hanamaki gets a shoe thrown at him for his trouble, as Oikawa squawks with indignation. Kindaichi looks sorry he asked, cheeks dusted with red visible even in the flickering, dim light emanating from the fluorescent tubes lining the underside of the balcony.

“You should probably hurry if you wanna catch the next bus,” Iwaizumi tells Kindaichi, as he reaches over to yank Oikawa back by the collar.

Kindaichi nods hurriedly. Oikawa protests until his shoe gets unceremoniously thrown back up, barely managing to catch it.

“C’mon,” Iwaizumi says, hauling a stumbling Oikawa into the clubroom. “If you make me miss out on nabe tonight, I’m gonna throw both of your shoes into the trash.”

“Can you believe Makki?” Oikawa complains instead. “Even you have to admit that was out of line.”

“Probably. But Hanamaki’s always like that,” Iwaizumi replies, as he pulls out the strategy notes he’d gotten from the coach. Kindaichi won’t be too scarred; he’s accidentally walked in on them before anyway. Oikawa had been shamelessly grinding up against Iwaizumi in the storage room after practice, whispering filthy little promises with kitten licks around the curve of his ear, until Kindaichi burst in with a question that had died a quick death on his tongue as Iwaizumi was rudely shocked out of his arousal and erection both by sheer mortification.

Long story short, there had been no denying that he and Oikawa were a thing after that (much to Hanamaki and Matsukawa’s delight) and Iwaizumi had firmly resolved to keep future trysts behind locked doors.

He smooths out the crumpled sheets, ignoring Oikawa’s grumble and continues, “So, these are the new plays coach was suggesting we look at for next week’s practice--”

“Eurgh, Iwa-chan you are all work and no play,” Oikawa interrupts loudly, heaving a groan. He stretches himself over the floor, dropping his shoe carelessly to the side. One arm conveniently flops over, too close for comfort, and Iwaizumi narrows his eyes. He gets his suspicions confirmed a moment later, when Oikawa reaches out to tug lightly at the hem of Iwaizumi’s shirt.

“Are you really gonna prove Hanamaki right?” Iwaizumi asks, disgruntled. He slaps Oikawa’s hand away with a deft flick.

But it doesn’t faze Oikawa at all as he replies, coyness ringing clear in his voice, “Well you can’t say he didn’t have the right idea,” and that’s too many negatives for Iwaizumi to try to figure out. He grabs Oikawa’s searching hand when it skates the edge of his trackpants, fighting back the instinctive shiver that runs down his spine when fingertips brush against the skin of his hips, and twists.

“Ow! Owowow, Iwa-chan stop!”

Iwaizumi can feel the heat from Oikawa’s palm, squashed in his own. Oikawa always burns a little hotter after matches, Iwaizumi’s realised, through pure exhilaration from the thrill of being courtside. It comes part and parcel; Iwaizumi could list all the little quirks and peculiarities that he knows are Oikawa Tooru, a bank of information that seems to have only doubled in size since that first kiss back in February, in the winter warmth of Iwaizumi’s bedroom. But right now, it’s a distraction; he can hear the way Oikawa’s voice takes a gently teasing pitch, see the way Oikawa’s expression had turned soft and beguiling, and feel the not-quite struggle as Oikawa half-heartedly tries to pull away.

From a grip that Iwaizumi doesn’t seem to be easing up on, any time soon.

Oikawa doesn't miss this detail, not at all. He twists where he lays on the floor, hand still caught in Iwaizumi’s grip. His eyes are bright when he meets Iwaizumi’s glare, pupils already dilated with the knowledge of victory.

“Yeah?” Oikawa breathes. He moves again, this time to get his knees under him, scooting closer until he’s sitting in front of Iwaizumi and pressing in well beyond the boundaries of personal space. Iwaizumi brings one hand into Oikawa’s shirt, fingers twisting into the fabric to either push him away or drag him in even closer, unsure. “C’mon Iwa-chan, the kids have gone home-- ”

The kiss Oikawa plants on his lips is wet, and open-mouthed, sucking carefully at Iwaizumi’s bottom lip; Iwaizumi gives entry to the tongue that runs across the seam of his lips, and strategy papers forgotten, braces his other hand against the floor. He hears Oikawa’s pleased, rumbling moan, moments before Oikawa suddenly sprawls into his lap and their combined weight sends them thudding into the floor.

“Ouch, Shitty-kawa, watch it!”

“Sorry, sorry.” Oikawa laughs against his lips, and touches their noses together in an odd display of unabashed affection. "It's been a while, Iwa-chan. This boyfriend hasn't had much attention lately--"

Iwaizumi flushes: from the actions or the words, he doesn't know. "You get plenty of attention," he says gruffly, but really, he's already given in. "Just for give minutes," he warns. Then for good measure, in case Oikawa’s started calculating the chances of getting them both off within those time limits, “And we’re only making out, you hear?”

That earns him a scowl, and Iwaizumi shakes his shoulder for emphasis. If they miss the last bus, his share of nabe is as good as gone. Oikawa manages to sniff, “I last way longer than five minutes anyway, Iwa-chan, don’t know about you--” before Iwaizumi is growling, and he sees Oikawa hurriedly re-evaluate his priorities.

Lucky for both of them though, kissing Iwaizumi back into silence seems to win over his inherent urge for petty sniping; Oikawa just leans back in, whispers, “Knew you’d give in, Iwa-chan,” with fondness soft in his eyes and presses their lips together again.
