Bonus Round 3: Gift Tags

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 7 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Submit prompts as a gift tag in the format below. You can specify the size and a characteristic of the gift, who the sender is, who the recipient is, and a one or two sentence note from the sender to the recipient. Descriptions of the package and the included note don’t have to be explicit, see below.
- Package: medium sized cube, rattles
From: Kageyama Tobio
To: Hinata Shouyou
Note: These will help you get better. - Envelope: manila, 12''x17'', very thick and heavy
From: Tezuka Kunimitsu
To: Kinjou Shingo
Note: Enclosed - Play without regrets! - Your prompt MUST include a relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. Fillers can get creative with how to interpret the prompt: your fill can be about the character receiving the gift, one or both characters using the gift, what prompted the sender to send the gift—the physical gift itself can even be excluded from your fill. What’s important is that the gift tag is clearly the inspiration for your fill.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Fill: Team Furuya Satoru/Miyuki Kazuya, G
no tags
Kazuya is almost completely packed when Nori stumbles out of the bathroom, still yawning and soft-eyed with sleep. He looks up when he hears the bedroom door click open, grinning at the sight of Nori in his boxers and comfortable, sloppy sleep shirt (a shirt that Nori had filched from Kazuya back when they had first started dating, although he’s not sure if Kazuya ever noticed).
“Morning, sunshine,” Kazuya says, sing-song and far too cheerful for quarter of six in the morning.
“Sh’tup,” Nori mumbles, scrubbing at an eye with the heel of his palm. “Not everyone is an alien like you, y’know.” Kazuya chuckles and zips up his last bag, slapping it with both hands as if to end his packing-up ritual and pushing himself to his feet.
“An alien you willingly date. You know you love that my ass is out of this world.” He winks and Nori groans, stumbling over to bury his face in Kazuya’s back, arms winding around his waist for support.
“You’re the worst, have I ever told you that? Puns, and it's not even six am. Cruel and unusual punishment.” This time Kazuya laughs outright at him, turning in his arms until Nori’s cheek rests against his chest. Nori sighs, comfortable and content again despite the hour.
“Are you really sure you have to leave? Maybe they can play this tour without you.” Kazuya muffles an amused noise into Nori’s hair, wrapping his arms around Nori’s shoulders.
“I have full faith in my teammates, but as a general rule of thumb, I’m pretty sure most pro teams prefer to have their starting catcher show up to all of their games.” A noise that Nori will vehemently deny is a whine escapes him.
“I guess so.” They stand in silence for a long minute—maybe more than one, Nori thinks, because he starts to fall back to sleep on his feet, and, as his breathing goes even and deep, he feels Kazuya pick his arm up, probably checking his watch.
“As much as I would love to stand here and let you fall asleep on me, I really do have to go,” he says, and the words are sarcastic, but his voice is soft, nearly apologetic. Nori mumbles something into his shoulder, not totally sure himself what he’s trying to say. It takes him a few more seconds, arms squeezing so tight around Kazuya that he wonders faintly if it hurts, but then he takes a deep breath and step back, pulling away.
“Okay, you better get out of here before I change my mind.” The smile he summons up for Kazuya is rueful, and Kazuya moves back into his space, cupping Nori’s cheeks and kissing him, long and deep and just this side of desperate. When he breaks away, he rests his forehead against Nori’s gently, eyes closed.
“Alright, that’ll hold me over.” Nori laughs, leans in again to peck Kazuya.
“Everybody thinks you’re some cool trickster type, but you’re such a sap, Kazuya.” Sighing theatrically, Kazuya steps away from him for real and stoops down to pick up his bags—gear on his back, and a duffel in each hand for the three weeks he’ll be on the road.
“Do me a favor and don't tell anyone, will you? You’ll ruin my image for all my adoring fans.” Nori snorts, ugly, and scoops Kazuya’s cap off the bed, following him to the door.
“You keep telling yourself that,” he says, reaching past Kazuya to open the door for him. Hooking a hand around the back of Kazuya’s neck, he pulls him down and kisses him, putting every ounce of concentration into memorizing the shape and taste of Kazuya’s mouth all over again. Kazuya make a soft sound into his mouth, and Nori lets his grip on the back of Kazuya’s neck tighten for a moment before he lets go again, covering the prick of tears at the back of his eyes by plopping the hat in his hand onto Kazuya’s head and yanking it down over his eyes. Kazuya yelps, indignant, and Nori’s laugh as he adjusts the cap so Kazuya can see is only a little watery.
“I’ll be back soon, okay?” Kazuya assures him, smiling. Nori just nods—no point in reminding him that it can never be soon enough.
“Stay safe, okay, Kazuya? And good luck.” Nori manages a smile as he starts to close the door behind Kazuya. “Love you.”
“Love you, too.” His last image of Kazuya is him standing in the hallway outside of their apartment, lit by the soft, dawn light spilling in from the window at the end of the hallway, smiling, but forlorn. Nori sighs. As happy as he is for Kazuya, making pro so easily and doing so well, saying goodbye to him is always difficult.
Shaking himself out of it, Nori finds himself wandering a bit in the empty apartment, eyeing the spaces Kazuya occupies when he’s home. He makes his way into the kitchen, and something catches his attention—out of place, a small, deep blue bag with what’s unmistakably a Disney logo printed on the side. Brow wrinkling, Nori makes his way over to it, picking it up and flipping open the card that’s attached.
To: Nori
They reminded me of you~
Love,
Kazuya
Ah. Kazuya must have picked it up during his last road trip—now that he thinks about it, he remembers Kazuya telling him that they had stopped nearby. Chuckling to himself, Nori reaches inside, digging past the tissue paper until his fingers close on something—smooth rubber, indented here and there, thin and broad. He pulls it out of the bag, curious, and finds himself looking at a keychain of two happy-looking rodents, nearly identical except for their noses, one red and one black. Chip and Dale. Nori glances back at the note, then pulls out his phone, barely glancing at the screen as he hits the name at the top of his contacts.
The phone rings, once, twice, four times, and then there’s a click on the other end and Kazuya is laughing in his ear. “Miss me that much already, huh? Not that I mind if you call me every fifteen minutes, but you’re gonna be the one paying the phone bill at the end of the month.”
It's almost enough to distract him, Kazuya sounding so happy to hear from him, but he steels himself, tapping his thumb against the bright plastic charm in his hand to remind himself of his purpose. He summons up all the strange, fond irritation Kazuya somehow manages to inspire in him, loading his tone with it. “’They reminded me of you’, huh?”
