Bonus Round 3: Gift Tags

Bonus Round 3: Gift Tags

Feeling generous? In this round, you get to give creative gifts as prompts.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 7 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES
  • Submit prompts as a gift tag in the format below. You can specify the size and a characteristic of the gift, who the sender is, who the recipient is, and a one or two sentence note from the sender to the recipient. Descriptions of the package and the included note don’t have to be explicit, see below.
    • Package: medium sized cube, rattles
      From: Kageyama Tobio
      To: Hinata Shouyou
Note: These will help you get better.
    • Envelope: manila, 12''x17'', very thick and heavy
      From: Tezuka Kunimitsu
      To: Kinjou Shingo
Note: Enclosed - Play without regrets!
  • Your prompt MUST include a relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. Fillers can get creative with how to interpret the prompt: your fill can be about the character receiving the gift, one or both characters using the gift, what prompted the sender to send the gift—the physical gift itself can even be excluded from your fill. What’s important is that the gift tag is clearly the inspiration for your fill.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Atsushi has been looking forward to the couples' cooking class all week.

He might be good at making desserts, but he's never been able to work out any other kind of cooking and he isn't really patient enough to learn on his own. The classes were Tatsuya's suggestion and Atsushi thinks that it could be fun. Tatsuya is already a good cook, but that's because Tatsuya is amazing. He's good at everything he does. Atsushi isn't going to let him down, when the class requires them to pair up. He's going to make sure that everyone knows that they're the best.

He's walking into the big kitchen classroom on their first night when he sees Kagami, and stops in his tracks.

"Atsushi?" Tatsuya asks, bumping into him.

"Why," Atsushi asks, "is he here?"

"Oh." Tatsuya peers around him, spotting Kagami and waving. "Taiga, you're already here."

"Muro-chin," Atsushi grumbles, low and unhappy.

"Taiga is the one who told me about this class," Tatsuya says with an innocent smile that Atsushi doesn't believe, even for a moment. "He's here with Kuroko. Ah, speaking of which, where is—"

"I'm here," Kuroko replies, by Kagami's side. Atsushi takes some satisfaction in the way Tatsuya jumps a little in surprise.

"Muro-chin is the best cook here," Atsushi declares, staring down Kagami. "We're going to crush you."

"I thought that this was a lesson, not a competition, Murasakibara-kun."

Atsushi desperately wants to hold his thumb and forefinger up in front of his eye and pretend he's squashing both Kuroko and Kagami's heads, but he refrains, only because Tatsuya tends to tell him off whenever he does that.

With an irritated sigh, he looks away. "Ah, whatever. This is going to be boring because we know how to cook anyway. We're going to be better than you, Kuro-chin."

"I suppose that we'll see about that," Kuroko replies.

"This is meant to be fun, Atsushi," Tatsuya tells him, guiding him over to their assigned bench. "Let's not forget that."

"I'll have more fun when we beat them," Atsushi mutters, then tilts his head to the side, glancing at Tatsuya. "Besides, I know that you're acting calm and composed, but you really want to prove that you're the better cook, don't you?"

Tatsuya huffs out a quiet laugh, shaking his head. "You know me too well, don't you, Atsushi?"

"We're going to crush them," Atsushi promises, placing his hand on Tatsuya's shoulder and glancing over to where Kagami and Kuroko are standing at their bench. "Won't we?"

Tatsuya grins. "You know it."
