Bonus Round 4: Quotes

A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.


This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
  • The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

• 14 lines (poetry)

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.

I'm so sorry for how late I am in responding to this and your other fill from this round -- rest assured that it's because real life got a little crazy for me, not because I had any issue with your art, which was a total delight to receive in my inbox. I love the contrast in Fuji and Ryoma's expressions, and the dramatic tension in the composition as a whole! I also envy your ability to draw faces in profile.

hfsjl thinking of these two let loose in a sex shop like a pair of kids in a candy store is a little terrifying, Ennoshita has all my sympathy. (i really want to know what The Great Hotel Incident of 2015 was.) and ryuu yuu chikaboom is an excellent ship name, we should petition the AO3 tag wranglers to adjust the ship tag immediately :3

"you wouldn't believe the amount of silk flowers one person can own" thank goodness u do tho, the images look so lush and pretty, esp the first one? kinda belies the angst behind the flower meanings :') i love the little story that's told in the sequence of the flowers too, sighs......

aaa i'm super glad this got a fill, i love Oikawa shrugging off the insults and parsing them as the other people's problems instead of anything negative about him (mayyybe some of them effect him more than he's letting on but he's deciding to bury that, too), and i love Iwaizumi being more protective and defensive of him than he is of himself *u* and ofc the compliment and kiss at the end were perfect :]

thank you so much for this??? i love the overall creepy atmosphere and the urban legend/fairy tale vibe that the beginning gives off. it's not difficult for me to imagine this playing out like an old-school horror movie. Maki also sounds like the most lovely terrifying spider monster, i love that you kept the long hair and incorporated it into his spidery-ness?? the ending is also kind of sinister, even though Kinjou is all comfy and warm - i'm picturing him being brainwashed by Maki's bite or something like that *u*

aa, this is. sad. it /is/ a lot, i feel very /there/, the sickening discomfort of being on either side, and it sucks, but that just means that it's a powerful piece of writing imho. i liked the descriptions a lot. especially Oikawa keeping his facade up and then breaking. aside from cheating i'm not sure what i'd guess at the thing being, but. it can remain a mystery... like you said the important thing seems to be the betrayal itself.
