Bonus Round 6: Remixes

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 18 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Choose a fanwork created by other participants in a previous main or bonus round of SASO and create a new piece based on it. You could create a fanart of another work, an FST inspired by a piece’s style, retell another person’s fanfic from another point of view, create a new fanfic inspired by a great piece of art... go wild!
- You cannot remix your teammates' works.
- You must have permission from the original creator. There's a blanket permissions post here (feel free to add yourself to it!), or you can leave a comment on their original post asking for permission.
- You must include the dreamwidth link to the original work in your post.
- Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment in response to this post.

When she loses her pilots, Antler Star falls.
She tries to protect them, guiding their hands to the correct tools, pushing her shields just that little bit further, but she can’t. She feels every rent in her hull, every crack in her skeleton, but none nearly as strong as the sudden, abrupt loss of her Junta.
Her Hajime keens across the broken drift, loud and wordless in his distress, and she cries out with him, and she falls apart.
She keeps her Junta close, though, cradling him as best she can in the broken chassis of her arm, and she waits for them to find him. And they do; she knows them, she knows Ursa Breaker’s Tadokoro, who loves her pilots as much as she does, and she willingly surrenders her Junta to his care, wrapped up in a canvas and carried tenderly in the belly of a helicopter.
Her parts are scattered all across the continental shelf and the hollowed husks of tiny wartorn islets, and though her heart and the largest part of her body are retrieved in short order, it takes weeks and months for the scattered pieces to be collected and returned to Tokyo. Some never do, mired in the Pacific seafloor, kept safe and occupied by hundreds of tiny crawling and swimming things.
She still feels her Junta, in the whispers of the drift, feels him marvel over the fishes and thrum in the junkpiles of the Shatterdome and yearn for their Hajime.
Her Hajime isn’t okay, she knows, and she yearns just as much as her Junta does, but she’s nothing more than scrap, now, and her Hajime is no longer a pilot.
She can’t feel him in the drift.
Her parts are cleaned and redistributed and reused, and she carries pieces of her Junta into every new Jaeger she bonds to, but she never feels her Hajime.
That is, until one day, when she’s being reworked into a broken shell of a Jaeger, joining her spirit with the broken Jaeger’s, twining together new parts and old, and the she feels her Hajime.
His hands are rough but gentle and they move with precision, slotting and welding and screwing parts into place. He is warm and familiar and the little piece of her Junta swells towards him. Her Hajime doesn’t recognize the piece of her heart in his hands, and why would he -- she kept her heart safe, secret, even from her pilots. And he doesn’t know, when he slides the piece into place and moves along to the next job, but Antler Star feels him, sees him safe, and she is content.
