A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.

It had been Suga’s brilliant idea. And when Kiyoko had calmly declined being featured on the poster of the Karasuno Volleyball Team Car Wash Fundraiser, Suga had lead them by smiling, enthusiastic example.

“If I’m on the poster, it’s only right that I participate in the car wash, too,” Suga had said with a wink; he’s grinning, and it lights up his face like nothing else in the world. This is probably what a trap feels like, Daichi had thought faintly in that moment, as he slowly agreed to the excited yelling of the rest of the team.

Daichi is not sure he has ever seen volleyball shorts that short, and it takes him a few, very long seconds to realise that Suga is wearing the girls’ away volleyball uniform. Where did he even find something like that? Daichi wonders, right before his poor brain short circuits as Tanaka turns the water hose on Suga in full. There’s a bucket of soapy water clutched in Suga’s hand; it overfills with the force of the spray and splashes all over him, soaking through the thin white fabric of his jersey. Suga’s surprised laughter is a peal of delight in the hot summer sun as he dumps the remaining contents of the bucket over Tanaka’s head. There have been no cars for at least an hour, but there has been a lot of idle hands.

What a terrible, wet mess this is turning out to be, Daichi thinks, mouth dry as Suga’s soaked shirt sticks to the line of his ribs, the lean jut of his hips. Suga’s thighs are practically gleaming in the sun, the shorts not doing a single thing clothing is suppose to do, and Daichi can see the tan of Suga’s skin through the wet fabric where it sticks to the curve of his-- Daichi tries to swallow, but his tongue is thick in his mouth, and all he can think is, Very terrible, very wet, very--

“Daichi…! Stop frowning like that, your face will stick,” Suga yells out, one hand pushing at Tanaka’s face and the other trying to wrestle the hose from Tanaka’s hands. Daichi realises too late what Suga is scheming until the spray hits him square in the face, and then there’s nothing he can do to take back the undignified squawk he lets slip as the cold water snaps him out of his reverie.

“More where that came from,” Suga smiles as he bounds up, arms wide open, body slick with sudsy water. “Come here, Daichi…!” And Daichi can only hope for death to take him as a very warm, very wet Suga wriggles against his chest as Suga tries to soak him with the press of his body against Daichi’s own.

“Definitely more where this came from,” Suga breathes into his ear, and Daichi thinks faintly that maybe terrible, wet messes are not that terrible afterall.
