Bonus Round 4: Quotes
A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.
This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

It takes him a day of research, and an afternoon of walking around the city buying all the things he needs, but when Sousuke returns back to the dorms with a terrarium, a humidifier, beetle bedding and jellied food, Rin doesn't say a word.
Pyunsuke seems to like it, from what Sousuke can tell. He doesn't really understand beetles just yet, but this one has somehow managed to grow on him, in between taking him from Momotarou and walking to the woods behind his house to release him.
His research has told him that the stag beetle population has been dwindling because of a lack of their natural habitat. It wouldn't hurt to keep this one safe, he thinks.
Besides, there's something about the way Pyunsuke walks back and forth across his hand that Sousuke likes. He makes little sounds as he scurries and Sousuke won't say that he's fond. At least not where people can actually hear him.
Rin waits until Pyunsuke is all set up, and then flashes his sharp teeth at Sousuke in a knowing grin. "So you're keeping him, then."
"Shut up," Sousuke replies, watching Pyunsuke as he explores his new home. It's much more spacious than the tiny bottle that Momotarou was keeping him in. He's already eagerly eaten the food that Sousuke's placed on the small plate in his tank. This isn't so difficult.
Not until a few nights later, when Rin grabs Sousuke by the arm. "Hey. Momo said there's some English movie they want to watch."
Sousuke digs his heels in a little, thinking of the homework he wants to do. Besides, he wanted to take Pyunsuke out of the tank and play with him, at least while reading his textbooks. "My English isn't as good as yours."
"It's fine. He said there are subtitles. Come on."
Which is how they end up crowded into Momotarou and Nitori's room, watching Bee Movie.
It's—
It's questionable, at best. Sousuke raises an eyebrow at Rin, who just grins back at him unapologetically, but it's probably better than doing homework anyway.
Until Rin leans over halfway through the movie and whispers, "Imagine you and Pyunsuke."
Sousuke shoves Rin hard enough to have him toppling over. Rin is laughing, Nitori is worried and Momotarou is wondering whether he should join in on the pile.
Rin ends up at the bottom of a four person pile, and Sousuke takes it as a personal victory.
Except that night, Sousuke dreams about it. He dreams about Pyunsuke as a beetle lawyer, suing humanity for the depletion of his natural habitat. He dreams about himself being the human attracted to Pyunsuke and, even more inexplicably, Haru as the asshole boyfriend that he breaks up with.
He wakes up with a start, covered in cold sweat, and hears the soft scratching of Pyunsuke moving around in his terrarium.
He rests his head back against the pillow with a loud sigh, trying to let the sound of Pyunsuke's scurrying lull him back to sleep but instead, he ends up replaying the dream, until his face starts burning.
"I hate you, Rin," he mutter, and rolls over onto his side.
The next day, he comes back from class to find that Rin has printed a picture of Barry and Vanessa from Bee Movie, but has replaced Barry with a cut out of a stag beetle, and Vanessa's face has a photo of Sousuke's face stuck over it.
"I'm gonna kill him, babe," he mutters to Pyunsuke, and then blinks. "Um. Pyunsuke. I'm. I'm gonna—"
He covers his face with his hands and groans loudly. "Fuck."
