Bonus Round 4: Quotes
A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.
This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

Fill: Team Furuya Satoru/Miyuki Kazuya, T

“So, how long have you and Furuya been…ya know?” Kuramochi surprises him while they’re walking out of the library, making him stop in his tracks to stare at his classmate, who stares straight back steadily.
“I don’t know what you mean,” he lies through his teeth, walking past Kuramochi too fast.
“Dating,” Kuramochi says, following Kazuya down the stairs. “You don’t have to talk about it but I’ve got eyes and ears, I can tell.”
Kazuya doesn’t know what to say to that, the thought of more denial leaves a sour taste in his mouth, feels insulting to Furuya when he’s not ashamed of his relationship. Kuramochi doesn’t say anything else as they change their shoes, leaving the school building behind.
“How?” He asks instead, lingering under the shade of a tree away from the building.
“Little things mostly,” Kuramochi stops and grins at him, Kazuya trying his best to remain neutral. “You’re always aware of where the other is in the same room; even if you’re not sitting together you turn towards each other unconsciously. The way you look at each other, the tone of voice you use with him, the way you smile.”
Kazuya frowns. He didn’t think they were being that obvious, they’ve been careful to give each other space and not spend every waking moment together, although he has to admit that’s getting harder...
“Don’t worry about it,” Kuramochi nudges Kazuya’s shin with his foot. “No one else notices, and I don’t think you’d get in trouble anyway since we’re retired. Unless someone thinks you recommended him for captain because of your relationship.”
Kazuya opens his mouth to argue but Kuramochi cuts him off, “I recommended him too, calm down.”
“Also I saw you guys coming out of your room last night and your hair was messed up and Furuya’s shirt was on backwards and inside out,” he laughs and Kazuya glares at him.
He walks away, Kuramochi falling in step beside him as they head back to the dorms, the twisting in his gut settling down as he gives Kuramochi a sideways glance. Kuramochi doesn’t seem mad or disgusted about it at all, he hadn’t realized how much that possibility was weighing on him until now.
“Have you guys talked about graduation?” Kuramochi asks, the most serious he’s sounded this whole conversation. “Are you guys going to keep going? It might be hard during baseball season, more so for Seidou if you break his heart, Miyuki…”
The unspoken, don’t undo everything we built here doesn’t escape him.
“I didn’t realize you were so worried about my love life, Kuramochi,” Kazuya snickers, finding his footing at last, making Kuramochi huff with irritation as they enter the courtyard, Furuya coming around the corner of the dining hall holding two bottles of Pocari Sweat.
Kazuya grins, his body and eyes turning toward him automatically, betraying him; seeking like a magnet and now he sees what Kuramochi means, Furuya changing course as soon as he sees Kazuya.
“You don’t have anything to worry about,” he says, his feet taking him to Furuya while Kuramochi chuckles, muttering something that sounds suspiciously like “obvious fool.”
