A shipping olympics favorite, this round uses quotes of all sorts to fuel your creative endeavors.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on July 21 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M. Gandhi
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Makoto & Rin). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Makoto/Rin). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

Hitoka is easy to love, with the pure joy she takes out of all things in life. She brightens their apartment the same way she brightens their lives, bringing home cuttings of plants that she's begged off their neighbours, trying out a new crochet pattern she's picked up to decorate their coffee table with. She loves everything around her so wholly and it shows in just how happy she is.

It's all too easy for Tadashi and Kei to get pulled into it too. She teaches them a lot, about appreciating all the small things in life, about looking at the bright side of everything around her. She kisses their cheeks with her lips curved into a smile and it leaves them both smiling for the rest of the day too, no matter what else the world has to throw at them, because they both know that they'll be coming home to her, that she's the bright point in their lives, like the gentle warmth of the sun nurturing the flowers that grow in its rays.

Tadashi is more confident, with Hitoka there to pull him out of his shell, to give him all the encouragement he needs, no matter what it is. She's always eager to hear about whatever he's interested in, she likes taking it in and learning from it as well. She's there to give him the push that he needs when he falters, and she's there to be the safety net for him, so that he doesn't have to fear falling. She's not the only one either; having her encourage Tadashi so much makes Kei take part too, and they both let him borrow their strength, taking comfort in it, until he finds his own.

When it comes to Kei, she teaches him to smile. She teaches him that it's okay to try and fail sometimes, she's there to remind him that he's worth more than he thinks he is, not just to her but to Tadashi as well. He's gentle with her, in a way that he also learns to extend to Tadashi. He doesn't feel the need to hide the way he feels, and even if it's just in the privacy of their own home, his smiles come easier, his touch is more frequent. Hitoka can see the way it helps him settle into himself a little, just as it makes Tadashi relax more as well.

Most of all though, more than the small pleasures in life, more than making any kind of change, Hitoka loves them the most in the entire world. She reminds them of it, not always having to use words to express it, but she makes sure that they both know it all the same, in the way she wraps their arms around them, the way she presses kisses to their cheeks, and their lips. She brings as much light into their lives as she can, because she knows that they both deserve it. Because without even trying, they do the same for her.
