Bonus Round 5: Myth & Lore

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 4 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

A re-imagining of your favorite folk tale? Characters swapping ghost stories or playing D&D? As long as your fill in some way incorporates the fantastical and/or supernatural, it's welcome here.
- Your fill still has to be about a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. What ships you create work for is up to you, though.
- To submit your fill, simply leave it as a comment as a reply to this post.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

FILL: TEAM Miyuki Kazuya/Sawamura Eijun, G
kono bangumi wa goran no suponsaa no teikyou de okurishimasu:
heroes of olympus au
canon atypical supernatural stuff
491 words.
“We have to get away from here,” Miyuki hisses and Sawamura looks up from his lyre, the animals surrounding him in a fairytale-esque fashion turning to look at him in sync. Frankly, it’s creepy.
“Why,” Sawamura asks, “the animals were enjoying my song.”
Because there’s a monster on its way to kill you and I can’t protect you from that, feels a bit too long to say. He says it anyways.
Sawamura’s eyes widen imperceptibly.
“Alright,” he agrees, “but I need to say goodbye first.”
“Goodbye?” Miyuki says and Sawamura nods, lifting a hand to place it on one of the deer’s neck. “That’s—ridiculous.”
“It’s not,” Sawamura huffs, “I’m letting them know of the danger.”
Sawamura spends a tearful goodbye with a family of rabbits, all shivering furballs in his arms. He says goodbye to even the sparrows, okay, Miyuki thinks as he taps his foot against the ground, please hurry up.
“I’m done,” Sawamura turns and he’s glowing with his lyre hanging loosely in his hand. “How are we going to get away?”
“Do you trust me,” Miyuki replies instead and Sawmaura puffs his cheeks.
“Not at all,” he shakes his head.
“Really,” Miyuki says dryly, “you apparently trust me so much that the animals allow me to stay near.”
“Then why on earth,” Sawamura says, “did you ask?”
Fair enough, Miyuki supposes, and wraps a hand around Sawamura’s wrist.
“We’re shadowtravelling,” Miyuki says in a way that’s supposed to explain but based on the hollow look in Sawamura’s eyes, it explained absolutely nothing.
Well, whatever. Sawamura always was a guy who learned more through show rather than tell.
**
He probably should have told Sawamura to hold onto his lunch or something like that.
He rubs Sawamura’s back as he empties his stomach into a nearby trash receptacle. Some campers pass them by but Miyuki spares them no mind.
“Well,” Miyuki says eventually, “good news, the minotaur’s gone.”
“A minotaur,” Sawamura wheezes, “was it—was it after you?”
Yes.
“No,” Miyuki frowns, “must have sensed two halfbloods together and thought that we were easy prey. Hopefully us disappearing has confused it effectively.”
“Alright,” Sawamura nods. “Your cabin or mine?”
Miyuki hesitates because despite all of Sawamura’s efforts—and boy, did Sawamura try—his cabin was still the equivalent of a dusty coffin.
“How about yours,” Miyuki says, “I need to do more redecorating before the bed’s big enough for both of us.”
“We’re not that big,” Sawamura laughs, but takes his hand and leads him to the Apollo cabin.
“You roll in your sleep,” Miyuki counters, “and you’re a blanket hog.”
“No, I’m not,” Sawamura’s quick to reply.
“And you snore,” Miyuki can’t resist another jab.
“No, I don’t,” Sawamura scowls.
“You do!” Miyuki laughs. “And you drool all over the place. Are you sure that you’re not Poseidon’s child?”
Miyuki’s still laughing as Sawamura chases him around camp, the shouts of Miyuki Kazuya ringing loud and clear.
