Bonus Round 6: Remixes

The event's almost over, and you've made it this far, congrats! This round encourages you to look back at everything the SASO has made and use it as inspiration.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 18 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

• Choose a fanwork created by other participants in a previous main or bonus round of SASO and create a new piece based on it. You could create a fanart of another work, an FST inspired by a piece’s style, retell another person’s fanfic from another point of view, create a new fanfic inspired by a great piece of art... go wild!
• You cannot remix your teammates' works.
• You must have permission from the original creator. There's a blanket permissions post here (feel free to add yourself to it!), or you can leave a comment on their original post asking for permission.
• You must include the dreamwidth link to the original work in your post.
• Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment in response to this post.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)

There is no max work cap.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many fills as you want!

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

this was so, so, so, SO SATISFYING. i feel incredibly lucky and awed that this is a remix of some of my stuff, seriously. it had action and intrigue and intense feelings and clever dialogue and ambiguous morality, basically everything that makes a great spy story.

i've said before your comments are like poetry and IT APPLIES HERE TOO, i loved pretty much every description of aya so much, how she burns her noodles but perfectly sears her vegetables, how she's maybe scary and tough to people who wouldn't know better, but those who do see how she isn't ;; i am in love with the ways everyone is in love with their respective (almost) partners here <3333

i almost screamed (in delight) at the tag "attempted murder" and then WHEN MIKI SAYS "I was worried I'd be killing your boyfriend, or something." I WAS. REALLY HAPPY? ??? the scenes with miki and shinkai were so good!! everything!!! is so good!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

:'c im glad ...

it isnt as detailed or careful as i would have liked to deliver but i always end up editing things a little bit much in crossposting. i really really adored your imashin & ayamiki fills in particular, among many things, so i was hoping i could explore that at least a little more - and bring them together, to a degree. the ayamiki aspect was the biggest mystery, though the imashin scene left open so many fascinating questions about how the time travel works and how people function within that in this business that i really keep thinking about! i'm someone who is terrible with time travel, but one of my favorite things is when all the major characters involved are hopping around each other, and there's a question on every end as to who the person they're talking to is, and how much they love them regardless of moment and space.

but im glad you enjoyed also the attempted murder aspect TT-TT i love miki interacting with people and being so morally gray and being unwilling to let go of what very little she allows herself in the first place. and shinkai understanding that, and being in similar places at certain points in The Ever Stretching Timelines, and being kind of a big ol' fool because he doesn't realize how difficult the receiving end of that treatment can be! fun times. Fun Times. no one is right but no one is wrong and that's nice to write.

and if you would like to link this, its ok ... i plan to crosspost after i edit it in a way i'm pleased with to mark it as a remix of your works but that might be months off because yknow how life can get in the way of plans.

im glad you liked it ... i appreciate the fact that you enjoyed it at all ... i wish i could better express how much i loved your fills but doing this is probably the best i've got in really hitting that home.
